  1. Couldn't disagree more. From the short spell we've seen under him, he's set us up to play better football, got players performing better and brought out the best in our most important player. That wasn't done because he got them working harder through motivation, its from the way the team have been set up and the way they've approached games tactically IMO.
  2. This is true - but also, there are some who wanted Lambert out who throw toys out of the pram when Sherwood's mistakes are brought up. He has made mistakes, some of them Lambert-esque, which does worry me. BUT he needs to be able to buy in players for the job he thinks he needs to do. If Richards is the start of that, then I am quite happy - I just hope he does play right back and can stay fit. Maybe those people would also have not been as critical over lambert after a handful of games with someone else's squad. I'm sure if Sherwood makes us worse, the more time spent with the club and delivers atrocious football and results, those that wanted lambert out so much will also feel the same towards Sherwood.
  3. Unfortunately, Yes! Then surely you can see its not knee jerk to be unhappy with the current position of the club, mainly thanks to the owner and a few bad managers. And while palace being in 'another league' is probably an overreaction, its frustrating to see these smaller teams overtake us and become sides we'll struggle to compete with, both on and off the pitch. Hopefully though the lerner era is close to the end and we can once again look to improving.
  4. Knee jerk? Have you watched us for the last 5 years?
  5. There's no way Richards is coming to play as a cb in a 4-4-2. I think he will be a very good rb for us and probably would be decent in a back 3 but I have doubts that's what Sherwood will switch to.
  6. That's the effect Randy Lerner has had on us unfortunately BOF.
  7. I think the fact Richardson playing lb didn't make me long for cissokho back in the end sums up how average he is for me. No problem with replacing him.
  8. I thought he'd been poor before Sherwood signed. Never really kicked on from a very impressive first few games.
  9. I find it hard to believe journalists know the formation Sherwood is aiming for next season.
  10. We never once played 3 at the back and I'm sure the same could be said for spurs under Sherwood. Why are some convinced that is the plan going forward?
  11. Well he's starting by signing the best full back we've signed in the last few years. Positive start on that front.
  12. His hype was him being one of the best full backs in world football. Not living up to that is still more than enough for a club in our position as he enters his prime.
  13. I don't think his legacy takes a hit if they lose. A lot of people were predicting a sweep. I've heard some pundits still think he could be the finals MVP even if they lose.
  14. Coming into his prime with the right attitude and proven at this level. Ticks a lot of boxes.
  15. I may be wrong but I didn't think he'd had lots of injury problems over the last few years.
  16. Heard an interview from 2 weeks ago on talksport yesterday. He said he was made promises about playing and that changed when the manager switched formation. I'm pretty sure before the switch he was playing rb for them.
  17. I just don't see him wanting to be a cb. He went to Italy to play games as a rb, can't see him changing that now.
  18. I guess that could be just because he's officially left due to his contract running out. Hopefully it means he's coming here though

    Carles Gil

"Sherwood doesn't favour Gil" - what a crazy conspiracy theory that's totally not just a logical assumption to make of a situation in which Gil is indefinitely dropped from the team upon Sherwood's arrival. No that's a sensible idea and may well be true. But there were people who made suggestions that it was because of Sherwood's ego, or that he targeted a new foreign player to make a point, or that Sherwood's ego wouldn't allow him to survive using a player lambert just signed. That's more the crazy conspiracy theory to have a pop at Sherwood I was on about.
  20. Given our last few years and the fact the club is up for sale, why are you expecting us to sign players where there's lots of other clubs trying to sign them?

Could you please link to a report where it states that he was simply suffering from a dead leg? You didn't even realise he was injured until a couple of weeks ago, and now even that's a lie to enhance your anti-Sherwood position. Hahahahahaahahaha please show me where I have said that I am anti-sherwood. Absolute nonsense and you know it. You said you were 100% against the appointment and that you didn't want someone with his ego at the club. That seems pretty anti-sherwood. The fact you seem to jump at any opportunity to criticise or make up a reason to have a moan about him seems to link back to how much you didn't want him to become our manager. Haha ok. You have a real problem with people changing their mind. If they make a statement, that's their opinion forever and they can't change it. The 'gil sherwood' comment you constantly bring up is clear proof of this. Sherwood did a fantastic job keeping us up. I've said that multiple times. Far more times than I've expressed doubts about him. I'll even find my posts for you because you conveniently omit any positive comments that I've said about Sherwood (of which there are more) when you use your flawless memory remembering posts. But no, I'm not allowed to change my mind and my opinion is totally set in stone forever. I've seen you say positive things but you asked to be shown where you were anti-sherwood. And quite clearly, just before he was appointed, you were 100% anti-sherwood. I'm glad you've changed your opinion now. Well done.
  22. I don't see him coming to play at cb. He specifically said he was guaranteed to be a starter for fiorentina and then they changed the formation to 3 at the back. He's better than what we have and has the potential to be a solid right back for the next 3/4 years. I'm not sure what there is to moan about.
  23. I'd be very surprised if we were signing him to play cb and if any journalist knew what Sherwood was planning for him.
  24. If the cavs win this surely it's better than anything Jordan managed to do. I think once retired he will be looked at as the GOAT, he does so much at such a high level and makes anyone that plays with him a much better player.
