Hard to put a price on him. His biggest attribute is his pace and he reminds me of Micheal Owen but without the same preditor instinct or ability in finishing when one on one with the keeper. I never feel confident that Gabby is going to finish with only the keeper to beat while its always a surprise if Owen doesn't finish in the same situation. Gabby is far more potent when he doesn't have time to think what he is going to do. However it would be very interesting to see if he did indeed move to the likes of Man U whether Fergie could transform Gabby into the world class striker he has the potential to be?

Mate i really wish you'd give it a rest slating everyone in sight who dare to critisize the team. It really is getting tiresome now. Great to see the team winning and Gab was brilliant. With the present squad i just want us to survive in the Premiership this season and we're doing ok at the moment. Wigan were very poor though and on this showing they will go down.

Jenas in for Delph will make us better if he is fit as he has a point to prove and will add energy and craft to our midfield. I'd also like to see either Clark or Cuellar if fit back to partner Dunne. Good game to bring those players back in as Wigan shouldn't run at us in the same way QPR did. However, even though the opening fixtures have been kind to us i don't yet feel we have picked up enough points so i am another which is in the must win club!

He looks to me like his legs are full of lead and they won't do what his brain wants them to. He is so nervous on the ball and is not dealing with the step up in expectation. The problem is who do we replace him with if he warms the bench and if he is benched what will that do to his dwindling confidence? Remember a fellow poster on here being torn apart by the majority when he felt that N'Zogbia would be a very poor signing. I hope Charlie boy, can, with a goal, prove all the doubters wrong but i am beginning to worry about his performances.

Ray Wilkins stated on Sky that we might be the surprise package this season. And i thought he would make a good number two :oops: 'my word.' Rather than state the obvious about our first half performance i was more interested in AMs post match interview. Honest and without bullshit he stated how it was. Too many of our players are too buck sure of their places and play like it. Just wish we had a larger squad. Very, very lucky to get away with a point and AM new that.

Was just about to make that point 'coda.' If we are in the bottom six by Christmas with no improvement in performances from the team then Randy will indeed have a choice to make. Does he back the manager by giving him the funds to bring more players into the club, or does he sack AM thereby admitting his mistake? The introduction of someone like Hughes still wouldn't improve our style of football unless he was given the funds to bring in his own players. So the introduction of a new manager wouldn't necessarly improve our results unless he got the required financial backing from our chairman.

This result has been coming and there will be a lot more of them before Christmas. We are in a false position in the league and when we start to loose on a regular basis i cannot see how the manager is going to change it with the players available. Dreading QPR on Sunday but maybe we'll play above ourselves and get another draw?

When you accept that we are indeed a very poor side then we are doing ok, but when we come up against the Manchester teams and even spuds then i fear those on here who still state that we have good players, will be brought back to reality!

I want to see Dunne against one of the top four this season before we can say he is back to his best, whatever that is?

I believe you and i had a disagreement on Bent being able to knock the goals in again this season. I pointed out that his supply line had been cut off and as a consequence he would struggle to score. Not only has his supply line been cut off but we are presently playing a system that means Bent will be on a starvation diet for the rest of the season. The positive in me hopes that AM is playing this system so that we don't loose too many up until we get a second quality winger in, but the resounding negative with me is that this will in fact be the way we will play for the forseeable future, very much in the same way that AM had Birmingham set up. Anyway back to the game. I predicted a loss for us today so have to be pleased with the point but we are so one dimensional going forward that, like Birmingham, we will struggle to score against teams in the top two tiers in the Premiership. Even with the pace of N'Zogbia, Bent and Gabby our passing and movement off the ball was too slow and again we are so, so predicable! N'Zogbia was poor again but it seemed to me that he was just trying too hard to impress and when he settles down then we'll hopefully see the player that he is. Herd was the pick of a very poor bunch for me. Yes he missed more than a few passes but really didn't look out of place in the Premiership. We simply need more quality in the team!

Tough game this and the first real test of AM's reign. Wolves are playing well and the lack of a quality DM will probably show how weak our midfield is. 3-1 to Wolves.

Given Young Dunne Clark Warnock N'Zogbia Makoun Delph Albrighton Bent, Gabby Both Petrov and Collins should spend the rest of the season on the bench until we can get a buyer for them.

Actually thought we'd loose this game so more than happy with a point but it is painfully clear that we need more quality in the team. One point gained another thirtynine to make sure we're safe.

Now we have the oposite of MON's team.

Makoun and Petrov are too simular to be played together.
