  1. I’d probably get Fred Perrys or Stone Islands if they didn’t cost a f***ing fortune. Easily £100 plus for a standard Fred Perry pique up here.
  2. Levi’s jeans. 562s. Either that or a slightly baggier variant from a Scandinavian brand Vailent. Then typically polo shirts/piques, or just a regular high quality crew neck t-shirt. I quite like Farah’s shirts. Not too expensive, but good quality and fit. Maybe a denim overshirt or just a high quality college sweater. Vans, trainers or Dr. Marten’s. Bomber jacket or fleece pullover.
  3. Kind of relieved Norway crashed out. Would be kind of shit for them to finally qualify again only to be in a tourny I won’t be watching.
  4. Same with Zalando. It’s an online retailer.

Oh, I’ve had mine longer than that and not had a problem with any of them so far.
  6. You made a triple post, i.e. an echo.
  7. I think @DaveAV1 has been reading the Liverpool Echo for research.
  8. If he coaches half as well as he interviews, we’ll be golden
  9. Finally watched Dune, albeit on HBO Max. Very good. I love the whole epic, big universe, slow build thing, so this fit me like a glove. Only minus for me was not watching it on the big screen - a very good looking film that deserves to be watched in cinemas.

And, from everything I’ve seen and heard, I really f***ing good guy.
  11. Welcome! It might just work, this. Certainly raises our profile and brings some attention.
  12. Contract length is an even smaller concern than compo fee. It doesn’t matter. I guess it’s welcome onboard, Steve Gerrard. It’s going to take some time getting used to, but hey, I’m willing to give him a chance, and can find reasons to be cautiously optimistic about this.
  13. It’s at least very, very common for managers to have players they trust, who will play when available because they understand their roles and help ‘coach’ the other players tactically on the pitch.
  14. I’m not 100 per convinced Gerrard is definitely the right man for the gig, but a 7m compo is the absolute least of my concerns. A relative drop in the ocean of money that is modern football. Any new manager wouldn’t have to meet much more than a minimum of expectations long term to justify a 7m investment.
  15. I wouldn’t write Gerrard off. He’s a winner, apparently plays good football, and I like Gary Mac as a coach if he brings him with him. It might work, even if I might have prefered a more proven option if available.
  16. Classy statement, as expected. Still feel like crap about this.
  17. Just to play cool, I’m going to ask @Eastie not to pm me. Thanks.
  18. I still feel like crap about this.
  19. Dude has worked miracles up there, but that would be a massive gamble, and one I’m not sure I’d be prepared to make.
  20. Same here. I absolutely love Deano but Lineker is wide off the mark.
  21. Absolutely gutted for him. It may be the right and necessary move for the club, but I take no joy in this. I have absolutely nothing but love, respect and gratitude to him. Dean Smith is a Villa legend.
