    Is there any actual evidence to suggest Mings has fallen out with Gerrard? Mings was replaced as captain as Gerrard wanted his own stamp on things (albeit he selected a horrible replacement). Most Villa fans didn’t even want Mings in the 11 at time. Maybe he has just been injured?

    No, as mentioned previously we cannot continue to stock pile players on high wages and not use them. Look at Man City and Liverpool’s benches and they don’t have as many first team players on there as us. It’s unsustainable to have Nakamba, El Ghazi, Sanson, Traore, Hause etc. on high wages who can’t even make the 20 (granted, some have now left).

We are about to have a stadium expansion, have increased the wage bill, improved the training facilities, have some great youth team players coming through. 6. We are 4 games in. Too early to say who’s in a relegation battle. In 15 games time we could easily be above Brighton. And money talks. And that’s not mentioning the fact we are a bigger club historically, he had a fondness towards the club, we probably have the better squad overall (the current manager is mismanaging it).

    Buendia - full pre-season. Ings - full pre-season. Bailey - full pre-season. Digne - only played half the season. Courinho - only played half the season. Ramsey, Cash, Archer - improving with age, should be better than last season. Kamara - looks like the player we have needed for about 10 years. Gerrard - taking his games into account last season we finish top 10. Granted there are questions on whether Gerrard is the answer and we could probably do with another CM and striker as staters, we are much better off this season than last.

    Traore, Nakamba, El Ghazi, Sanson, Guilbert, Hause can’t even make the squad with 9 subs. Depth isn’t an issue in the slightest, first team quality is.

    What? Zidane won the champions league three times as a manager, only two other managers have ever done that. He also broke records for Madrid. Dalglish, Conte, Simeone, Ancelotti, Heynckes, Deschamps, Capello, Rijkaard, Beckenbauer off the top of my head have all won as both players and managers and I’m sure there’s loads more…

    Because a couple of posters claiming to be ‘ITK’ who obviously aren’t. It could still be Gerrard but I wouldn’t say anyone here has solid info.

    Has all the raw ingredients of a top player. A bit of coaching and playing with better players and I think we are onto a winner. If we can get him for £25m-£30m it’s a steal.
