    Unai Emery

Unai is a beautiful genius. Suck it in everyone. We are fifth in the league at the end of April! How on earth did that happen? Truly magnificent from the Sultan.
  2. Whether we decide to sell or not is one thing but they’ll definitely be loads of interest in Cam this summer. I think we may receive some pretty big bids. All 3 promoted clubs will surely be interested, plus maybe some already in the PL. I expect us to resist of course but he is strengthening his reputation every single week now. If anybody offers anything close to £30m, it would be very tempting I’m sure.
  3. Faes is really bad. Amarty is pretty poor too. Rogers fell out with Soyuncu for some reason and so has hardly played him this season. Deano has bought him straight back into the team and he was motm yesterday. It will be interesting to see where he turns up and how well he does.
  4. That’s an interesting view. Have you seen him play much? I live in Leicester and the City fans love him. There are strong rumours that he may be off to Atletico. They don’t go big on dreadful defenders. Their entire philosophy is based upon having an impenetrable defence.
  5. I don’t agree. Putting sentiment to one side, JJ struggles to perform consistently over 90 minutes. His involvement in the game is too sporadic for someone who plays such a key position. He’s hopefully going to become the player we need but he’s not there just yet.
  6. JJ is a talented youngster who will get better but he is not consistent enough at the moment to be starting every week. He’s certainly a great bench option though and a good option as an infrequent starter. In current form, McGinn is the first name on the team sheet but he does have long periods of poor form. He needs competition for his position. If we are serious about challenging for Europe, which we are, we will need better options. JJ and Ginny will still have significant roles to play for sure.
  7. Soyuncu is available on a free at the end of the season. He’s still fairly young and before he fell out with Rogers, he was one of Leicester’s best players. I would love to see him in a villa shirt. He will be a great signing for someone.
  8. I think we will sign between three and five players (maybe plus some up and coming prospects). The areas that I think we’ll target, in order of importance, are 10, left mid, right mid, right back, right sided centre back. I think we’ll go for quality and thus we may only sign three of those positions listed. The really great thing is, we will be building from a position of relative strength for the first time in years. We have a decent team, who know their roles well and perform pretty well most weeks. We now need to focus on slowing adding real quality. Throw in a few of the youngsters and we are starting to really build a special squad. Obviously the key is keeping Emery but I can see him being here for years. Good times.
  9. Lots of positives today despite a very average performance. We took a vital point whilst, more importantly, stealing two from them. It will be really hard for them to catch us now. We kept our unbeaten record going. We kept our scoring in every one of Unai’s games record going for another match. We fought hard despite not being anywhere near our best and we never gave up. If we can beat Fulham on Tuesday then we are almost certain of a top 8 finish which would be quite remarkable in itself! Let’s just hope that Emi is fit for then!

    Unai Emery

Unai is a beautiful man. His presser was impeccable again. I always watch the presser and I’ve never known the room to be as silent as it was this week. He absolutely had them hanging onto his every word. It was masterful. Give that man a 10 year contract with a compulsory ten year extension.
  11. Amazing performance, up against a top player. Made Trippier look bang average. He was my man of the match today. Rolls Royce.
  12. Give this kid whatever he wants to stay for the rest of his career. He just gets better and better. He’s the perfect example of what can be achieved through pure hard work. My lad said to me today that Ollie deserves all the accolades because not only is he a great player but he’s also a really nice lad. Can’t argue with that really.
  13. This is a great opportunity for Deano to start to build his reputation again. I think he will keep them up but it’s unlikely that he will get the job permanently. I live in Leicester and was enjoying watching them struggle but they will have my support now. They have the players to play a more direct game which is what Deano and Shakey will implement in the time they have to make a difference. It should be enough.

    Unai Emery

Another great presser from Unai. He is so thoughtful and considered. He respects everyone but backs himself and his team to have the answers to win the game. It will be tough tomorrow but Unai will set us up to win. Hopefully we will get the job done again. It’s interesting that he said we want 2 players for every position next season. I think we will see quite alot of movement in the summer but for once, we will be building from a solid foundation. I really trust Unai to make the right decisions in relation to who comes in and who leaves. Selling Ings in January was a great bit of business. I will back him whatever he decides
  15. Two top performances on the bounce. He gives so much to the team and he seems to love it here. Marvelous stuff.

    Ezri Konsa

Konsa has been much better recently but I thought that he was quite poor on Saturday. Chelsea consistently targeted his side, particularly in the first half and they created lots of good opportunities. He has done his bit for us since he signed but he is one of the players that can easily be upgraded in my view. He is probably one who has a relatively high sell on fee. Maybe this summer is good timing for him to move on.
  17. It makes me so happy to see SJM back on top form. The man lives and breathes our club and he’s also a thoroughly decent human being. Works his socks off every day and always carries himself impeccably. I love SJM. A true captain.
  18. This post deserves alot of love. Bravo colhint. Post of the day
  19. Martinez, McGinn and Moreno were all unbelievable. Great to see Ollie with another goal. I thought we looked better with a back three in the second half and fair play to Chambers who stood up well. Happy days.
  20. We’re incredibly lucky to be winning at half time. Hopefully Unai can calm them down at ht. We are so open on the flanks. We need to get on the ball in the middle of the park. Luis and Boubs getting dominated at the moment. Still, we are winning and it was a lovely finish by Ollie. Hopefully we can sneak another and take some of the sting out of the game.

    Unai Emery

I love Unai. His press conferences are fantastic. I love his enthusiasm and will to win. His commitment and dedication are outstanding. He is miles ahead of any other manager we have ever had. These are such exciting times for us. I wouldn’t be surprised if we were to win something next season. He is elite in every way. Love him.
  22. Brilliant from the women. When’s the draw for the next round? It would be unbelievable if they could win the trophy.
  23. True. Should take a few tips from Ian Ormondroyd about not skipping leg day!
