  1. I wondered if anyone would eventually post about Duffield, she's really gone off the deep end this week. And she only posted this yesterday:
  2. It is for 2024-2025 though bear in mind. The last manifesto called for a £10 minimum wage, and that's what Labour want to be introduced right now, but by 2024 the NMW will have risen naturally to above £10 and the UK Living wage will likely be above £11 and London's above £12, so by the time 2024 comes around realistically it should be around £12 NMW at the lowest IMO. I think £15 is a bit high, it seems to stem from one of my pet hates which is just straight up stealing left wing ideas from America without thinking how it applies to the UK (see - Defund the Police), but it's a decent starting point to negotiate down from considering it's talking about a few years down the line.
  3. If they really need to do an overseas game, they should just do an All-Star game. North XI v South XI or something like that.
  4. Not allowed in the Premier League. EFL clubs have the same, but have to get rid once promoted, I think we even had one at one point?
  5. I am very pleasantly surpised by this! Just hope there's no big catch involved: I believe that's more than both the 2017 and 2019 manifesto pledged, so it'll be interesting to see how it's treated by the wider media.
  6. I think last season without the fans allowed them to approach games as if they were training matches and the lack of pressure that comes with them, but with the fans back I wonder if their players are more hesitant to keep up the gung ho attitude knowing that if they **** it up they could have 30000 fans down their neck.
  7. Love the way he's set up out set pieces, but judging from Hause's interview post game, he and all the coaching staff clearly have enough faith in the players to make their own decisions at times which is vital too. Such an inspired appointment!
  8. I've just remembered that I put a £20 free bet on us last night, thanks for the £130 Villa! Man, this day keeps getting better!
  9. One league win v Man Utd since Grealish was born. Grealish leaves Villa beat Utd for first time in 12 years the next time they play. Thanks for taking our curse with you Jack
  10. It should be pointed out that when watching the whole clip, it seems the player was booked for dissent. Paqueta appealed for a handball after the flick and it caused the two players to have words with each other, the ref spoke with the Troyes player and tried to call Paqueta over, who just walked away and completely ignored the ref for ages, and was then booked.
  11. He's gonna be gone soon surely? He's had an absolute car crash of a week, how can he have any credibility left in the party? I wanted Starmer to become leader with the hope of him bringing the key policies of Corbyn but with some decent leadership and competence, but he's shown this week that he's got **** all of the last two.
  12. Most comments I've seen from neutrals have been that he was shit in the shoot-out too, it's far from just a VT thing, he was just a bit shit last night and unfortunately showed that he isn't a Premier League standard GK.
  13. Too bad it's not Martinez in goal, it would be good practice for saturday
  14. Looking at the replay it seems to just be a stinger and not too serious hopefully
  15. What a **** cross from Cash! What a **** header from Archer! What a **** goal!
  16. I wondered how long it would be until we heard "the Polish Cafu" sung
  17. I just looked it up and realised it was Daniel Mann for the playoff final not Gary Weaver, they sound nearly identical to each other! Edit - Actually, I think it was Daniel Mann for the Everton game too, I've had a bit of a mare there.
  18. Gary Weaver I think his name is, he's the same commentator from the Playoff Final that said "the fallen giants are back on their feet!" at the final whistle, he's Sky's best commentator by far.
  19. The difference being that GKs often spend long spells of the game with nothing to do, it's part of the job to be able to just switch on when needed, something outfield players are less acustomed to.
  20. Probably controversial, but I think it's the same for Ramos. Two defenders that have played for teams so dominant that they don't actually need to defend so they're only ever noticed for their ball playing ability and everyone overlooks that they're a bit crap defensively. If either of them had spent the bulk of their career away from Barca/Madrid, they would be nowhere near as highly rated.
  21. I might be being too kind to the ref here, but I *think* he may signalling that it's offside, albeit poorly, and he's taken the decision without the assistant's input.
  22. Credit to whoever it was that celebrated Gomes coming on, he's really turned the game around for us
