  1. Thats the idea of a forum, you voice your opinion. I stated, with the combined budget that we had over summer/Jan, i would have replaced Westwood/Gabby and /Weimann, either with buys or loans, McCarthy would have been a player i would have tried to sign, to replace Westwood, you inferred we couldn't get McCarthy, i beg to differ. You like him, i don't, get over it.
  2. Brainless is the word you are looking for Kwan.
  3. £7m for Kozak, £2m for Luna, £1.5m for Helenius, 3 players who aren't in the 1st team who we didn't need.We can't compete with a lot of teams financially, but Everton is one of them. Your constant support of Westwood is very noble, but sometimes illogical Stefan.I really hope he becomes as good as you think he will be.
  4. I agree Pie, i don't think we are that far off from a Soton kind of season, but the current manager doesn't improve players, and doesn't adjust his tactics/system. Look at Everton now playing Lukaku on the right wing and playing Naysmith down the middle.Could you imagine PL doing that? Bring a Hoddle/Laudrup/Koeman in, anybody apart from this clown.
  5. I said we should have bought McCarthy, we spent £7m on Kozak, so we had the money, and McCarthy and Delph would have been a much better pairing. I hope we have a new manager for next season, and for me the only current midfielder i would keep is Delph, the rest are not PL quality imho.
  6. Bacuna could be a good RB, but a below aversge midfielder.Technique and touch isn't good enough to be a good midfielder. Bacuna kept Baines, Shaw, Hazard very quiet in all games.
  7. For me now, where we are, and where we are likely to remain with the present set up, anyone over £50k, or over 25 should be moved on.Theres no pint keeping them, we're not going to win the Lge or cup, or get in to Europe, and we SHOULD remain in the middle of the table, although that is looking dubious atm, so if they are not able to step up , whats the point of keeping them.
  8. He started off well yday, for the 1st half hour he was one of the better players, keeping the ball, attacking and overlapping, playing good short penetrative passes, then he played a bad pass to Baker, they broke away and should have scored, straight after he gave the ball away again, and he never picked up after that. As someone said earlier, there is a player there, but he is the most fragile of a fragile team, and i fear he may never get over it.
  9. It doesn't help him, or Bennett though when the midfield pass the buck, by constantly playing the ball back to them, when they should be taking more responsibility.A pass back to Baker/Bennett should be a last resort, Westwood, Bacuna and Bertrand were doing it far too often
  10. England, Swindon, Chelsea, all his teams try to play football. We have to accept that we are unlikely to win anything as it stands atm, but lets at least have a team trying to play some decent football, Hoddle would do that, and he's not Lambert, thats another plus.
  11. Watching today, it was obvious that not only are we low on confidence, we are low on ability, poor movement, bad choices, basic errors. It all evolves from poor training and poor tactics. Get a better coach in, Hoddle or Laudrup for example, the movement, pace of passing, everything would be better.I can't emphasise how poor a team we are at thee moment, and yet i believe we are only 3/4 players away from a top 10 team. The manager has to take full responsibility, and he has to go, i don't blame Randy in the slightest, but would recommend he gets BFR or Sir Graham to give him a bit of advice on future appointments. I'm amazed we still get over 30'000 for every home game tbh.
  12. Our best player today........and he couldn't get in the Wigan team.
  13. Not a big fan of Westwood tbh, gave away the ball for their winner, but i am going to defend him today, for me hes not positive enough, was too deep in the 1st half, but he has got a good pass on him.He should be encouraged to be more positive.I don't think he will be the player some on here think he will be, but he would be better if he was more positive.
  14. Buy KI and Dembele for £10m, buy Bertrand for £5m, sell Gabby and N'Zog for £10m, and then buy 2 good attacking wide players, a la Remy with what you have left...sorted.
  15. Thought Lowton looked out of his depth yday, at least Bacuna has power and pace.
  16. Lowton has no pace, no strength, positionally poor, no acceleration, and doesn't anticipate danger.Must have been responsible for loads of goals last season, 2 against Ure to lose the game 3-2. Bacuna, i think, could develop into a very good RB. Excellent against Hazard, Shaw, Suarez etc, but he will never be good enough in midfield, and Lowton certainly won't be good enough at Prem level as a RB.
  17. If he replaces Westwood, Gabby, Weimann and KEA in the summer, with better players, then keep him, if he thinks these players are good enough, then yes i worry and want him gone.
  18. Crouchs goal was exactly like CBs goal.Poor defending or good movement/awareness?
  19. The 3rd goal, i'd give you RICO, but watch Westwood for the 1st 2.Doesn't track his man for the 1st, and Bertrand should have come across quicker, for the 2nd one Weimann falls over, and Westwoods positioning means he doesn't cut out the cross. So down to Baker completely?.......not sure.
  20. Complacent today.Still think he will develop into a good RB, certainly for me much better than Lowton, but today was not good enough. To be fair though, he had one bad game today, but overall has been good this season, the midfield and the attack needs to be improved.
  21. Against Chelsk last season, at VP, he was the best player on the pitch.Touch, acceleration, tackling, passing, all top notch...what's happened? As someone said, i think he is suffering from not playing reserve football.I'd persevere with him for one more season, but hopefully we'll get better players in the summer.
  22. Worse than Gabby today.........don't think so, and yet golden boy is on £50k per week, and Baker on £10k? Not sure why Baker attracts all the hate, would'nt be playing if Okores was fit, yet consistently gets abuse.Midfield is where we lost it today, not strong enough, or positive enough, apart from Delph we are poor in midfield.Get a good midfielder, and Baker won't be half the problem.
  23. Spuds will have a clear out in the summer, and Demble plays a very similar role to Bentaleb, who they seem to rate. I think Dembele could be more of an attacking midfielder, and Spuds could cash in.
  24. Can see Dembele being available in the summer, him and KI from Swansea/Sland would be perfect, and both for less than £10m.Sorted.
