    I'd have to see a few more games, but i thought the Burnley No 9 looked worth keeping an eye on. I like Neto, but his injuries do worry me, but i would be all over the No 5 , is it Lumina? For us to develop. we need a Neto, Olise, Eze kind of signing though

    The 1st goal came from his pass. Thats why him and Pau are key....the passing. Luiz was lazy on Boxing Day, not Carlos' fault at all Top 6 player

    Would it not be in our interests to buy now, whilst we are 3rd, and maybe attract players that might be out of our reach in the summer?

    Uni was trying to sign Ugarte apparently, which suggests to me he is after a more robust midfielder to play alongside Kamara. Wouldn't surprise me if we go for Paulinha from Fulham

    So? In the words of Bob Paisley, " Good players are never available, you make them available" Now is the 1st time in a long time that we might be able to get these type of players. They will both become top top players. Get them now before they are out of our reach

    Emi, Pau, Kamara, probably Ramsey, probably Carlos, probably Digne/Moreno are all top 4 players. We need a young Coutinho who has a bit of magic/top ability in and around the penalty area. Eze/Olise/Neto or Mitoma are the kind of quality we will need if we want to get higher.

    Passing midfielder and attacker for me. We can attract players now who we could'nt in the summer, and might not be able to this summer. Strike when you are on the up

    In 50 years watching Villa, the performance on Wens, accounting for the quality of the opposition, was the best I have ever seen. 1994 Man Ure final was close though

    Shows how important Kamara is. Got away with it today. A bit too pedestrian today, i thought Bailey was playing well, but Diaby made a difference when he come on. Not sure that without Kamara the midfield is quick or strong enough tbh

    Martinez...best Villa goalie ever Cash....clattered their best player, never a red card, but apart from that not his best game. Not ideal, but probably a telling contribution. Digne....been our best player recently, another good performance. Carlos.......I really like Diego, very good passer, and reads the game really well. Should start for me. Konsa.......picked up this year, not sure he plays in a 3 very well though. Got caught out today in 1st minute, and at Noocastle. Pau....top quality, keep hold as long as we can Kamara....not as good as last season, but certainly better in the 2nd half. Our best midfielder Luiz.....In Bentacurs shadow in the 1st half, got better when he went off. Hes ok to me , no more. McGinn.......typical McGinn, wholehearted effort, and a positive impact. For me we should play him or Luiz. Diaby.......not his best game, but always offers himself. Puts a shift in, and is a good signing. Watkins........does what he does, could have had hat trick today, took his goal really well. You can never fault Watkins contribution or effort Tielemans.........always looks to be positive.Not sure he is fully fit, could be our Bentacour Bailey......good impact sub, but I wish he would get his head up quicker/stop trying to score every time he gets it. Good to see Ramsey and Duran get minutes as well. When fully fit, Ramsey is a definite starter After the game, it was all about Spuds unlucky, but apart from the double save, I thought their goalie made more saves. Good performance, against one of our competitors, onwards and upwards

    January is going to be really interesting, Don't think we need anymore squad players, probably players to come straight into the 1st team. I'm not as bothered about Cash as some others are, but i would like a top quality midfielder, Bentacur kind of player, and probably a top quality right attacker, a la Olise/Neto. As I say a very intriguing transfer window.

    Gerrard tried to get Bentancur and Kamara as a CM pairing. That would have been very interesting
