  1. Thats a lovely cross Got a good attitude. We know he has quality, it will come
  2. Makes a big difference Hope he is ok
  3. Why should Luiz have been sent off? His booking was a joke
  4. More effort. He might be off the pae to be fair, but i think Emery shared my concearns
  5. The only way they were going to score was free kicks and corners, and we did give some stupid free kicks away
  6. I thought Emerys subs were very good tonight, and won the game. Not sure why we seem to get so complacent when winning. Oliver is normally very good, but was bloody awful tonight. Spuds need to beat us
  7. I think Moreno plays better with Ramsey V4E, but hes certainly a very reliable player. Not much in it
  8. Was he? Not for me he wasn't Him or Watkins as MOM for me
  9. Lazy? Good on the ball, not so good off it. Zaniolo put more of a shift in. Early days, but i wasn't impressed tonight
  10. So let me get this right. FFP is to make it fairer and more of a level playing ground, and yet the team who could finish 4th has to sell one of its best players to adhere to FFP rules. Its a farce, and a restriction on being able to manage your business. I hope Citeeh take them to court, because i think they will win, and then the league will be more open and competetive. Back to dreaming........a top quality No 10, a la Merse
  11. I would argue PieFacE that Chelsk, who aren't in the current top4, and more in partic Citeeeh, are only in the top 4 because of being allowed to massively invest in their clubs with the money of their owners, consequently this led to trophies, which led to more interest abroad, which led to more support, and an opportunity then to stabilise the club. Chelsk and Citeeh were nothing clubs until the big takeovers. Now imho Villa and Newcastle , if their owners are willing, should be allowed to possibly join them, instead we are in the bizarre situation whereby, although knocking on the door, we will have to sell one of our stars. Money has always bought the 1st division/Prem, the introduction of FFP was blatantly to protect the current status quo.
  12. Good investment decisions will allow teams like Villa and Newcastle the chance to "join" the cartel. FFP does not allow that. American Football is continuously interesting because of the draft system, and because of that there are constantly changing champions. The PL needs to look and learn. A league with 8 potential champions will be much more of a saleable item than one with 3. The PL should work towards creating more competition otherwise it could lose its sparkle
  13. I'm a bit perplexed about FFP. Man Citeehhh and Chelsk have had at least a decade to build their club up to their current financial position without any threat of FFP. I would argue that they have made the League better because the traditionally richer clubs have been joined by them. So instead of just Arse and Ure like it was, there are now 4/5 clubs who are competative. Noocastle and Villa , who have rich owners, could probably run at a loss for a short period of time, to raise the profile/ revenue of their clubs, to possibly join them clubs and make the league even more competative. On a lower level, I would argue that if Forest had not spent the £100m plus, then they would have been relegated, so by spending the money, and running at a significant loss, they actually protected the future of the club. FFP is a tool used to protect the status quo, its restrictive, and unnecessary, Villa and Noocastle as football clubs, should not be consticted by accountants. The arguement is going to be that you are protecting the future of the clubs, but when was the last time a reasonably sized club went bust? its a lazyt misnomer to deflect from the true reason for the inception of FFP, which is protecting the self annoited big clubs. I hope Citeeeh or Noocastle take them to court for a restriction of trade. Amazon buy, or destroy , their competitors, it happens in all forms of industry/business. Instead of us talkinfg about signing Neto for example, we are saying we might have to sell Ramsey. Its ridiculous. You get to the level where you are about to compete, and the carpet is pulled from unser your feet. The PL needs to be careful it doesn't become a boring cartel
  14. With Pau back, the passing from the back is better, and quicker, and Ramsey, Watkins and Bailey will get the ball in better positions. After todays performance i am relatively confident tbh
  15. Great cross for the goal. Not his fault. His passing from defence is very good, made no mistakes ,the latest scapegoat obviously
  16. Like Bailey was last season. Hes come on, as will Diaby
  17. Next game key. For me, win and we finish in the top 5, lose and who knows. I have to say we played well today, we are a better team than Ure, and with a bit more confidence, them passes, shots and touches are perfect. Much better performance than Wens. Onwards and upwards
  18. His pace and running with the ball makes a big difference. Missed a few as did Watkins and Luiz, but keep playing like that and top 4/5 is fairly secure imho.
  19. For me, Emi, Kamara, Pau and Ramsey are the only ones I would not consider selling. Evey other player has a price.
  20. There was a couple of times, in the 1st half, when a better touch and hes through on goal. He is what he is, he works hard, can't fault his attitude and workrate, but hes not top quality
  21. Transfer thread and all we are talking about is FFP. FFP is a farce and a restriction of trade imposed by a cartel of self-interested so called big clubs. I hope Citeeeeh or Nooocastle or Chelsk take them to court.
  22. If you want a decent back up RB, then Jones isn't the worst option
  23. Hackney is a lovely footballer. Got a bit of Carrick about him, been asking a Boro fan about him for the last 12 months. Could be a very good player. Jobe Bellingham might be worth keeping an eye on as well
