i watched some of the extended highlights yesterday and still cant believe the amount of problems we have from set pieces. mcleish said were working on it months ago and still its a major problem for us, pretty much any cross into the box and we just dont know who is marking who. blackburns goal yesterday crossed in, collins misses it and hutton is just watching. terrible. Another thing closing down. just watched the 1st half of the sunderland game and sunderland do it so well to double up on players and hassle them for some reason we like to stand off until the edge of the box and then slide in ggiving away pointless free kicks or letting players shoot. i did the bbc predictor last night and must of been very generous to the teams below as i had us going down by 1 point on 32 points. so disillusioned with villa at the moment, i want to see us playing good attacking football but that will never happen under mcleish.FACT. so then you think when will mcleish go and i think unless we get relegated he wont go/be sacked even if it was by a point. so then you look forward to next season under mcleish, alot of players will go i think maybe half a squad could go but with no money you wonder what quality mcleish can bring in. which means crap players coming in + crap tactics means yet another relegation fight but i believe worse than this season. anyway if it goes the way i predict then if mcleish is still here after december we will be bound for relegation. dont think i can stand another year of this

i could see a birmingham style clear out if we got relegated. players like dunne, given, ireland, bent etc wont stay round. we would have to rely on albrighton, bannan, agbonlahor and other youth players. IF and god forbid it never happens we did get relegated i believe we would be in good hands with the youth we have but we would definitely need a new and better manager and some more experience players

I do find it hard to hate lerner the way some do on here and i think its mainly because i can always see what his trying to do EXCEPT the mcleish appointment. Giving a lot of money to MON because he was new to football and wanted to get villa into champs leage but unfortunatley didnt see a divorce and a dramatic downturn in the economy. The houllier appointment i could see where he was coming from he hired an expirenced manager whos been there done that but the one thing i couldnt understand was he was to old. Having to cut back on wages and tansfer fees again is avfc was unrunable the amount we were paying out. BUT if it gets to the summer and villa have got rid of the big earners and villa still arent spending then i would think its time for lerner to move on. I still wish lerner would speak more and was at VP more.

well that was woeful. heskey needs to come off offers us nothing on the wing, so i would bring nzog on and we have to get ireland on as petrov has been abysmal. if its the same second half we will not get a point from this. unfortunatley albrighton has had to be on defensive duty so seen no attack from him.

i believe n'zogbia is a good player not great but good. he is still settling in, the mangers tactics dont really go with nzogbias style and i dont think he is played in the right position, he likes to move about alot more and i think mcleish is making him stick to the wing and thats not what he is about. as for the tweet if i was happy with the team i would say its disgusting what his said publicly but im not happy so for him to say that just shows that things are not right at villa

From what ive seen over the past couple of weeks good wingers are vital. You look at sunderland with mcclean and arsenal with chamberlain there players who cut in, do skill, pace down the wing, always looking to have a run at a defender and im hoping after his goal he can be our star winger.

My first game of the season and 1st half was as i thought it would be very poor. Bur 2nd half we were very good. We should of won we had so many good chances. Very impressed with nzog ireland bent keane clark. Hutton and warnock so poor. Need to be dropped. Just cant defend at all when under pressure and cant deliver a ball at all.

This game is getting harder by the hour qpr sign cisse and now it looks like zamora as well. Along with all the others they have and possibly will sign odds on us getting anything are slim.
