  1. anyone roughly what the attendance is??
  2. watching ssn and everytime they go to villa for the first time this season it always "bolton have started well" or "fulham have started well" every match etc
  3. he was last wekk AMc said
  4. Looks like it was a wise decision to get rid of houllier when we did. he says he is still only 85% and will probably never manage again. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14978948.stm
  5. id say the same would like to see gardner either start or come on and fonz on for gabby half way through second half
  6. The guy shouldnt need time to look **** interested i think people can judge after 5 games. this is the premier league we cant be waiting 6 games for someone just to look interested. im not saying thats it, sell him but his not on form, replace him with albie for now and bring him on as sub to get his form.
  7. i dont think his fit still either if he has a break for the bolton game i think he will be back to normal for qpr. his service is rubbish at the moment and usually he would score the chance he had yesterday but he is still a great great player and asset to avfc
  8. just watched the highlights on MOTD and for me its the same problems as always. the major one for me is closing players down for some reason we like to invite pressure onto the edge of the penalty then we try and make the tackle.WHY?? whats wrong with pressuring and tackling when there halfway in our half and thats why cabaye was having a field day striking from wherever he wanted. Second thing is we look decent going forward, when bent, gabby, nzog, albie, bannan are making runs but far to many times its up to bent who is by himself, he looks for the pass and everyone just stands there. you look at the best teams its pass and move, pass and move. Im dissapointed in so many empty seats(cant blame people cuz of bad football or money reasons etc) but i would love to get it buzzing around VP again which brings the question. do the team get the crowd going or do the crowd get the team going cuz at the moment neither is happening. For me nzog should play the bolton game if nothing happens then he should be benched for the qpr game. bannan, albie and maybe even ireland offer us more than he does. im sure nzog will come good but atm its not happening. To finish i would like to see the midfield changed because week in week out its the opposition dominating so for me it has to be albie, bannan, petrov and jenas for now until delph and nzog pick up a bit. i think it will get better but changes do need to be made. sorry for the long post but that feels better
  9. quite funny how every week we say get petrov off and mccleish does it this week and gets slagged off. nevermind point is better than none. rather be a villa fan than an arsenal fan
  10. Didnt watch the game today but so confused were unbeaten but playing poorly and i dont know if its a good thing or bad. sounds like its time nzog got dropped really dissapointed in him. 2 really big games next for villa- QPR and wigan. Qpr destroyed wolves today so dont hold much hope and wigan is a must win. these are the games we need to be winning before palying the man utds and chelseas of the league
  11. im not watching the game but sounds like nzog is having a shocker.whats he doing wrong??
  12. so only a rb on the bench no cb. worrying. hopefully everyone stays injury free
  13. right then wrap this up tonight and get 2 more in tomorrow. please
  14. totally agree he only said 2 weeks ago, spurs are not in for parker his to old and to much he said and what does he do go and buy him of course
  15. Shame i think he could of been half decent but clearly not the player mcleish wants. Which is fine but the replacement is crucial
  16. the solution to the lack of supply to bent is simple. nzogbia on the left and gabby or another winger on the right instead of the other way round because they have to keep cutting back on to there better foot giving defenders a chance to track bent better. nothing wrong with them switching for a while in a game but gabby needs to be in the box as well to cover for bent
  17. Skysports.com understands Olympiakos have revived their bid to sign Aston Villa midfielder Jean Makoun on loan with a view to a permanent deal. Villa rejected an offer for the Cameroon international earlier in the week as manager Alex McLeish is currently reluctant to lose any of his fringe players without bringing in replacements. Makoun has yet to feature in the Premier League this season and was an unused substitute in Saturday's 0-0 draw with Wolves. He did start the Carling Cup success over Hereford United and admitted earlier in the week that he would be prepared to fight for his place at Villa Park. However, it is understood that the January arrival from Lyon would also be keen on the possibility of a move to Greek giants Olympiakos. UEFA Champions League football is on offer at Olympiakos, who have been drawn in the same group as Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Marseille. Makoun has started just seven games in the Premier League for Villa since being signed by McLeish's predecessor Gerard Houllier.
  18. dont know whats going on with nzogbia he looks like he has lost that freedom he had at wigan. you can see he wants to cut in and shoot but instead he is been told to pass short. lets see over time. im sure he will come good
  19. 0-0 i know everyone will say we should be beating teams like wolves but not anymore wolves have improved and we have declined. we had the better chances but both sides really didnt want to lose. good 2nd half if we play like that i think i will be happy. 10x better than when we played them last year at home
  20. we must get a goal soon from all this pressure otherwise can see wolves stealing this. givens had nothing to do
