Can't see Stoke spending that kind of money when Pulis was talking about Owen in his press conference. If we did sell Bent we wouldn't have a fit experienced striker with Gabby being injured. All potential replacements would have an inflated value because clubs would know we have money. I can't see this happening at all.

AVB will never happen as we will never match his wages at Chelsea. He is still being paid in full by Chelsea, why give up that paycheck to come to Villa? Makes no sense.

Say what you want but I would take Benitez tomorrow. He has made a few dodgy decisions but on the whole he is a good manager and a lot better then what we have now. Only problem with him is he would want a big budget and we won't be giving anyone any of those for awhile.

Maybe. Khan is the more technically gifted fighter. He is also quicker and has better footwork. I think he could have and should have performed better. I don't want to sound like I'm taking anything away from Peterson, he fought very well and deserves his titles!

I have been working weekends for the last 5 years and next season will be the first season where I can actually attend and afford to go to games. I will be getting a season ticket without a doubt. Support the club. Every club has good times and shit times, unfortunately we are going through a rough patch but at some point it will pick up. I will support Villa through both shit and good.

Don't think Mayweather is laughing tbh. There are only two challenges out there for Mayweather and that's Pacquiao and Martinez. Anyone else he fights is for a pay check. If Khan won this fight it would set up a fight with Mayweather which would mean big bucks for both parties. This opportunity has now gone for the time being. Anyone know anywhere that will be showing the game in Birmingham? I know Wharf Bar in Walsall usually show them but I will probably be in Birmingham Christmas shopping. Preferably somewhere with a pleasant friendly vibe!

I love Bannan. He is still young and when he becomes more experienced and develops his understanding of the game more he will be one of the best players in the league I reckon. My main worry about Bazza is that he is going to be poached by another club. If he is that will hurt a shit load more then Milner, Barry, Young, Downing n etc...

I think we will see the best from Ireland this season. His fitness and sharpness will continue to increase and come November/December we will begin to see the benefits of it. I think this will be mainly due to Big Eck's man management. He is building his confidence up and seems to believe in him. Even yesterday in one of the post match interviews he mentioned that he has done well today. It will be good for Ireland to know that he tried and the manager has recognised it. He was decent against QPR and he was rewarded with another start. Hopefully this will motivate him to continue to work hard and try harder and we will see the best from him sooner rather then later!

I agree mate and I think the fact he started will encourage him to work harder in training and during games because there is a real chance for him to play, an incentive to work hard. Also I think the more he trains with the lads the better understanding they will gain. Him feeding Bent should be amazing.

To be honest that's probably the only kind of football that he was capable of playing with Birmingham. I think the quality we have he will get us playing slightly better football. We may be negative at times but there is some promise. In the second half we didn't just attack, we played some good football. Some of the passing and movement was great. If we can play like that with the combination of a solid defence I think we will be fine and Big Eck will be a success.

A lot of people are saying they would like to play Ireland in a midfield 3. I would rather play him in a forward 3 like his Man City days where he was in the front 3 with Petrov and Robinho. Just think a front 3 of Ireland, Bent and Gabby/N'Zogbia or a combination of those would go very well. Midfield 3 of Petrov, Jenas and Bannan/Delph with a combination of those 3 in front of them would do well.
