haven't been on here in last week. but minus Hoolahan was the football any improvement on what Trap played. the 2nd half I think Ireland strung about 5 passes together in 45 minutes, it was horrible to watch.

With Scotland in good form. Poland are better than Serbia and obviously Germany will pummel us. Ireland are in a battle for 3rd and I think we struggle to get that

Second half was bad but we were at least trying to play it out of the back instead of launching it.  Cost us a goal when Coleman gave it away but we will improve in time, also it wasn't our first choice backline as Keogh was being tested and I can't see how Wilson will stay in the team as he is awful and always has a mistake in him. We need to find a left back to play instead of Ward as he is crap at defending.

Oh and one more thing  Serbia > Poland imo.  Poland rely on one or two players where as Serbia have a really decent squad.

thought Keogh was ok bettter than what O'shea will bring when he back in team. Wilson should go left back as done ok under Trap there and Ward should be told he will never be capped again. I don't think McShane was ever as bad as Ward is

Serbia best players are Ivanovic and Matic. they had nothing really in attack except fancy touches from the Tadic I think it was, they were really powderpuff

Roy Keane has been urged to help an ex-Irish international footballer return to the team, by one of the women the player had falsely claimed was dead.

Stephen Ireland has not played for his country since 2007, when he pulled out of the squad ahead of a match, claiming his maternal grandmother had died.

When the media discovered she was still alive, Ireland changed his story and said his paternal grandmother had died.

But this was also untrue, and Ireland later apologised for his false claims.

At the time, Ireland said he had made up the story because his girlfriend had suffered a miscarriage and he wanted to go home to see her immediately.

Stephen Ireland (right), who now plays for Stoke City, said he falsely claimed his grandparents had died so he would get compassionate leave

On Wednesday, one of Ireland's grandmothers met Roy Keane on a flight to his native County Cork.

She asked Keane to consider recalling her grandson for international duty.

Keane was appointed as assistant coach of the Republic of Ireland international team last November, as Martin O'Neill took over as manager.

uninspiring as usual. no harm in giving Grealish a call-up. id expect a few drop outs and maybe players involved in play-offs wont go so might get late call up

Couldn't agree more. O'Neill has a history of not giving too many young players a chance.

Players like Cox, Sammon, Whelan, Green are not there on merit and this summer would be the ideal time to give young lads a game.

Not too optimistic having just renewed my season ticket

MON is meant to be going to the Villa v Spurs match tomorrow. Going to try get Naughton and Kane to play for England. Reports earlier of trying to get Wickham to play for us and Patrick Bamford would be a good one to try get back too. May as well try get Michael and Will Keane while we're at it.

Do the Irish have no pride in their national team?

It's supposed to be Ireland not England B.

That's quite the insult to England B.

Hey, mass emigration happened for a reason, you know. It wasn't to seek a better living or build America or any of that old shite. It was to ensure a better quality of footballer played for the 'mother country' a few generations down the line. Now, the Yanks turned out to be useless, and we didn't quite make a breakthrough in Brazil, so the English and Scots had to do.

You got that right. Football will never be bigger than the GAA in Ireland so we have to build up our football infrastructure globally. It is quite a revolutionary plan really.
