Hardly ground breaking is it. No worse than the Spanish national team making Fabregas wear a Barca shirt IMHO. The Downing situation is easy to sort. You've got a 2 year contract - you are staying. The Barca players practically put the shirt on Fabregas, he didnt have much choice. You could tell he was uncomfortable about it and also it was infront of the worlds media. Whereas this photo, Downing is holding the scarf himself. Dont look like anybodys making him do it. To be fair, we probably are reading too much into it. But after all the noises hes been making about considering his future, to then be snapped holding a Liverpool scarf with Carroll is just **** stupid. I hope the club deal with this properly.
