It'll be interesting to see how many people boycott the next world cup, which has 80% of the games in a country that has the death penalty, straps people to electric chairs and has just banned abortion in 13 states.

And has a history of racist police brutality and done more long term worldwide damage than Qatar

I understand the need for politicising and comparison - it's healthy and makes sense.

 

But neither of these things are a country saying it's illegal to simply exist.

Think the Gilead fraction in the US needs to have a bigger influence before people start comparing tbh. Might be more talk if Trump or his ilk win the election compared to if the Democrats do.
