To be honest I envy them in a way. I'd rather start a season with a possibility of challenging at the top of a league rather than bumming around mid table to bottom for all eternity. At least they get a bit of excitement

sorry to say this but this is the is an absolute ridiculous post

looking for promotion in the fizzy pop and going places like oakwell and peterboro or going for top 8 and visiting place slike old trafford and emirates hmmm

i know which one id prefer

as for blose another woeful result for them

But as far as threads about each other go... Villa and blues fans are very much as sad as each other
The first post in this thread is 3 and a half years old. A few comments per day is nothing.

Irrelevant. We are as bad as each other.

All I'm saying is that I would rather a little excitement as a fan. Someone point out where the fun is in august knowing the best you'll achieve is 8th? What is the point? Wiuld you not rather competetition? Ambition? Realistic targets and chances of winning a league? Because lets face it, if villa win a league in my lifetime it ain't gonna be the premiership!

Jesus Christ. Less than 2 years ago we were in a Carling Cup Final, FA Cup Semi Final and made a geniune challenge for 4th.

You can't have something every year. If you're as shit as you seem to think, we'll have the 'excitement' of a relegation battle then. :|

competing for play offs does not sound fun to me. and anyway your argument is flawed as they are nowhere near play offs!

we are under-achieving under a loser manager and an un-ambitious owner

Yet starting the season with the hopes of finishing tenth does?

Kurt- Yes, we did. It was great. Can't have something every year? We haven't had anything for nearly 30, and for a long time to come. And yes, if Sunday is anything to go by, we probably will end up in a relegation battle.

I'm not sorry that starting the season aiming for 8th doesn't fill me excitement and makes me run to the ticket office. It's boring. That's my point. Im as villa as anyone on here, but If you take the claret n blue specs off we're just like everton, Sunderland, Stoke... Won't win, won't go down, boring.

you might as well give up on football mate or go support one of the sky four as its not going to change. moneys runied the game and made it impossible to compete

In last 30 years we have 2 League cup wins, League cup runners up, FA Cup runners up, runners up twice in top flight, top 6 in top flight 11 times, qualified for/played in European Cup/UEFA Cup/Europa League 12 times. Given our illustrious history far from fantastic but way, way, way better than anything Sha has got remotely close to serving up and way more exciting.

Its all kicking off again...

THE Hong Kong Stock Exchange has thrown down the gauntlet to Blues owners Birmingham International Holdings – and called for a breakdown of the circumstances behind the arrest of Carson Yeung.

Far East finance experts have demanded that Blues parent group provides “all material information” relating to the arrest of Yeung as one of the key conditions for the eventual resumption of share trading in BIH. Yeung was arrested last summer and charged with five counts of money laundering totalling £59 million covering a six-year period from 2001.

In an announcement to the Stock Exchange, BIH said: “Training in the shares has been suspended from 9am on June 30, 2011, and will continue to be suspended until further notice.”

The Blues owners said they were ordered to:

* Inform the market of all material information about the arrest of Yeung – including the implications on the group’s operations, assets and financial position.

* Demonstrate that there were no deficiencies in control due to the arrest and there was no reasonable regulatory concern about management integrity which could pose a risk to investors and damage market confidence.

The Stock Exchange also ordered BIH to publish its outstanding financial results and address any concerns raised by auditors.

BIH said: “The company has been, and is continuing, to take the appropriate steps to fulfil the conditions set out for the resumption of trading in the shares and will keep its shareholders and potential investors informed of the progress as and when appropriate.”

The clampdown by the Stock Exchange came less than three months after the parent group issued a profit warning, blaming a “substantial loss” on Blues’ relegation from the Premier League last season.

The holding company also announced in October that its annual results for the year to June 30, 2011, would be delayed further for three months to January 31, while the annual report would not be issued until February 15.

from what I understand, shares are generally suspended for 6 months before the stock exchange starts to 'frown', and this is backed up here.

Administration plz
