useless
Won 3-2, Aaron O'Reilly conceded a penalty and was given a red card injury time, a shame for him if he now has a suspension as today was his comeback after being out injured since the beginning of the season. Our scorers were Patterson, Kellyman, and Sewell, Kadan Young assisted Sewell's goal. Patterson has played the last five or so games now for the U18s and seems he's gone back to playing as a midfielder. sir_gary_cahill
I’ve just seen footage of our u15 goalkeeper Sam Proctor on his Instagram, he looks outstanding. We signed him about a year ago from Peterborough United, he looks special, he’s played for England at u15 level too. If the worst happens and we lose Martinez, we’ve got this lad coming through! useless
That's three goalkeepers in our academy under the age of sixteen, Sam Proctor, Sam Lewis, and Alexander Hammond, that have played with England at youth level in the last few months or so. So seems we've got plenty of promising goalkeepers coming through. 1

useless
Aston Villa will decide which development players to keep at the club this week as they begin planning for 2022-23. A number of youngsters are set to leave as Villa cut down the squad and plan the best way forward for the U23 and U18 team. Villa have already confirmed that Tommi O'Reilly, the midfielder who made the matchday squad earlier this month, has signed a professional contract and The Athletic understands that Teddy Rowe, Frankie Ealing, DJ Sturridge and Taylor-Jay Hart will be the next to receive contract offers. useless
We've got a lot of central defenders at the moment, Appiah, Bogarde, Bridge, Swinkels, Dominic Revan, Sohna, Smith, Feeney, Zito, Softley, Aaron O'Reilly, and Katsukunya and possibly some more central defenders next season amongst the new first year scholars. I imagine a few of those will be coming to the end of their time with us.

useless
I didn't mention Triston Rowe as I wasn't fully certain if he was a central defender or a first year scholar next season as he still sometimes plays for the U15s, but yes probably him as well.

useless
Aston Villa are expected to begin work to construct their new inner-city academy once the Premier League season concludes in May. Villa will build their new youth-player hub where the current staff car park is situated on Brookvale Road in Witton.Planning approval was officially granted by Birmingham City Council in May of last year while, just a fortnight ago, Villa announced how construction will begin shortly. A statement read: "Our new central Birmingham satellite academy at Brookvale, adjacent to Villa Park, has received planning permission and we are expecting construction to begin shortly." Plans include full-size indoor and outdoor pitches, with the former inside a huge new dome complete with changing rooms, office space and a lounge area. The site is aimed at unearthing the very best talent from urban and underprivileged areas in north and central Birmingham such as Aston, Nechells, Perry Barr, Kingstanding, Saltley, Newtown and so on. It's understood that parents and children offered trials often find getting to Bodymoor Heath a tough task knowing it's a 25-minute journey from Villa Park by car with public transport near non-existent near the club's north Warwickshire HQ. The inner-city academy has been described as "game-changing" by coaches at Villa, a project that will see the club develop the next line of stars given the emergence of the likes of Jack Grealish and Jacob Ramsey in recent seasons. "All plans are now passed and agreed," a source told BirminghamLive with regards to the new site. "Final tenders are in so building work will start imminently. There's also some top and exciting signings in the pipeline at the end of this season at academy level." Birmingham Mail
