The Baseball World Cup has started (tbf, since the major US and Japanese leagues don't release players, it's perhaps more akin to the Olympic football tournament than the Football World Cup).

Group B

Spain def. South Africa, 15-0 (mercy rule in the 6th inning)

Group C

Netherlands Antilles def. Sweden, 10-8

Group E

Germany def. China, 14-1 (mercy rule in the 7th inning)

10 September fixtures

Group B

Puerto Rico v. Cuba

Group C

Canada v. South Korea

Group D

Great Britain v. Japan

Croatia v. Nicaragua

Group E

I thought this thread needed a bump. Don't you agree, Levi ;)

The Yankees clinched their 100 win and the AL East title last night, completing another sweep of the Red Sox.

We only need a small miracle from Texas to make the regular season absolutely perfect :D
