Popular Post Dodgyknees
I've been speaking to a Forest fan about their situation, and about the upcoming protests against their chairman. As a group of fans we know what it is like to have an owner who is destroying the club from inside out. We all put our hearts on the line and protested like lions at the back end of last season - leading to Tony falling for us because of the passion. In my eyes Forest are a massive club and it's shameful the way they are run. The fan I spoke to has asked if we would join in with the protests - which includes posters to be waved during the game. After all we have been through, I reckon we should try and help others in the same situation. I will invite him to the forum as he may have more to say. One For The Road
We have suffered enough without joining other clubs' protests. I wish them luck but it's nothing to do with us.

I don't believe it is anything to do with us. I didnt know I always had to stipulate that I am speaking for myself?

Or Thatcher.

Or Thatcher. Ok I meant we as in our clubs fans. I meant to say that it was my own personal view that we should stay out of it but that doesn't mean I don't agree with people who see it differently. There is a definite case for camaraderie in football, especially amongst fans going through a similar dilemma. I just feel we have our own problems. That's all I meant.

I helped manage the social media for our protests, we had a LOT of support from other clubs - Forest in particular.

Troglodyte Posted February 4, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted February 4, 2017 Hope Forest get back on their feet soon and I too would be supporting this if I were there. I'm from Nottinghamshire and my Grandad and a few others in my family were big Forest fans, so I've always wanted them to do well. My first shirt was a Forest one before I properly got into football and was converted to the claret and blue during primary school. At the end of the day, despite rivalries, football clubs are communities and in my opinion no-one should stand by while an owner destroys one.
Mantis
Such a depressing prospect. We have virtually no chance of a win or even scoring a goal because we're away.

It's Your Round
I've got no problems with supporting their protest, after all we've been through Villa above anyone should understand their pain.
