Aston Villa Review: Episode 108 - Villa lose to Chelsea with a big week coming up

Aston Villa finally carved out a Premier League goal - at home, no less - but Branislav Ivanovic's winner guided Chelsea to a win at Villa Park, Jose Mourinho's first. In this week's show, Chris and Steve assess the damage from the latest addition to Villa's winless run and ask whether Christian Benteke's contribution is now small enough to justify Gabriel Agbonlahor's use at centre forward in this week's games.

 

The first of those is with us as soon as Tuesday. Villa visit Hull City, arguably the only team in the division worse than Villa until they snared a point at the Etihad over the weekend. We preview that game as well as the FA Cup Fifth Round match at home against Leicester City. Is the Cup a priority with Villa's Premier League status hanging in the balance?

Cool.  I'll continue to make a thread for every episode even if they don't get too many replies.  I presume quite a lot of people jumped on during the first thread and don't feel the need to acknowledge subsequent ones but there still must be plenty of people out there who have missed it so far or just haven't had the time (or inclination) to give it a shot.   It's a great show though, well worth half hour of your time.

It's a good listen, especially as Chris' opinions largely mirror my own.

I imagine it's not quite teeth grindingly negative enough for some people on here, but I like it a lot.
