Risso Posted April 6, 2011 Share Posted April 6, 2011 Our local radio station, which is normally a purveyor of the usual bland shite, has just played about six absolutely belting tunes in a row, starting with House of Love, and including The La's, Frank and Walters and Inspiral Carpets (This Is How It Feels) and a few more. I've a long list of bands I've been working chronologically backwards to get into. Absolutely superb, but it means that only now do I understand the full relevance of... We Are Devo" is their best album - if you haven't already heard . I heard about some band that sent (insert big UK record label here) a box that required a key to open it. Naturally this sparked the curiosity of those at the label, and then a few weeks later the band posted the key, and eventually got signed. Its probably not a true story. It was one of the nights he played with three decks, two of them were mine, the other belonged to Danny the promoter. I stood backstage watching him tear his set up, he was amazing!
