What Song Are You Listening To Right Now?

Our local radio station, which is normally a purveyor of the usual bland shite, has just played about six absolutely belting tunes in a row, starting with House of Love, and including The La's, Frank and Walters and Inspiral Carpets (This Is How It Feels) and a few more. Took me right back to being a student again.

Really like their first album .

Gut Feeling FTW

I am ashamed to say I'm only just getting into Devo. I've a long list of bands I've been working chronologically backwards to get into. Absolutely superb, but it means that only now do I understand the full relevance of...

...and I've just about been reduced to tears of laughter. :D

Write a note saying "we despise Casino Zone" and tie it to a brick and throw it through the window of a police station. They will then assume its a rival band of yours trying to defame you.

*Alternatively one of you could do something really extreme.

You assume they'll assume that, but there's always a danger they'll think it's a just bunch of disgruntled retro-gamers who can't find the Chaos Emerald in Sonic 1. That's what Poirot would think.

Only got into Devo few years back myself.

"Are We Not Men? We Are Devo" is their best album - if you haven't already heard .

On a sidenote i know you don't like Nirvana (thats fair enough) but they did do a good cover version of "Turnaround" (which was the Bside to Whip It)

I heard about some band that sent (insert big UK record label here) a box that required a key to open it. Naturally this sparked the curiosity of those at the label, and then a few weeks later the band posted the key, and eventually got signed. Its probably not a true story.

Jeff Mills - The Bells

:thumb:

big tune

Jeff Mills played it on my decks that I used to rent out to Atomic Jam at the Que Club back in the day.

It was one of the nights he played with three decks, two of them were mine, the other belonged to Danny the promoter. I stood backstage watching him tear his set up, he was amazing!
