SempiternalVillain Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 (edited) With the current ownership/board, why not protest? Do you want to be the Cleveland Browns of the BPL with no sign of improvement? Edited December 26, 2013 by SempiternalVillain
Avflife Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Didn't work last time, won't work this time. Least we aren't in the position Cardiff are.
Pilchard Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Been there, done it. It will make no difference.
Daniel Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 How many people protested outside Villa Park before Mcleish was appointed? Did **** all.
SempiternalVillain Posted December 26, 2013 Author Posted December 26, 2013 (edited) Was that about the manager or the ownership? Edited December 26, 2013 by SempiternalVillain
nobler Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 It's sort of difficult to remove the person that owns the club. Particularly one that lives on another continent, hides from the press and has no interaction with the fans in any way, shape or form. And one that constantly makes bizarre decisions to deflect issues away from himself. Master of deception that Randy Lerner.
Isa Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Was that about the manager or the ownership? If it didn't convince him not to appoint McLeish, it is hardly going to convince him to sell-up is it?

Pilchard Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Cleveland Browns couldn't be relegated And Randy Lerner can't be bothered.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Bombard Lerner with letters/e-mails demanding he opens a line of communication with the fans.
Pilchard Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Bombard Lerner with letters/e-mails demanding he opens a line of communication with the fans. They wouldn't reach him. Listen - when Doug sold the club to Lerner, we were taking a risk. It was no longer public, which meant he owned the club. If it goes tits up, we, the fans, had nothing. Obviously Lerner came out with what we now know is bullshit - about being a 'custodian' of the club, how the fans are the most important part and that we'd have some fun and if it doesn't work out then he'd go. Well we fell for it. It has gone tits up. And he owns the club, so can do what he likes.
SempiternalVillain Posted December 26, 2013 Author Posted December 26, 2013 It would be an attack on Lerner not the managing staff. It will definitly reach him and consider something new.
Rugeley Villa Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 If only a few hundred turned up for a manager who come from our bitter enemies then probaly 20 people will turn up. We are the cleveland browns of the premier league so it makes no odds. I'm amazed their was nearly 38' their today considering we have been one of the worst teams in the league for years. And we have been shit at home for even longer
caw2510 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Cleveland Browns couldn't be relegated And Randy Lerner can't be bothered. Randy never wanted Cleveland. It was his dads team He actually choose to buy us Does that help?
Rugeley Villa Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Randy has had his enjoyment with his toy(us) like all rich people do if they get no investment from it they either sell up or run it to make even or a small profit. Its obvious he won't take us to next step 1

Its obvious he won't take us to next step I don't know.... steps go down as well as up.
Pilchard Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Cleveland Browns couldn't be relegated And Randy Lerner can't be bothered. Randy never wanted Cleveland. It was his dads team He actually choose to buy us Does that help? Lerner has cut all funding, and has seen the club once in the past year. Now that either says two things - we are so boring and shite that even the bloke who owns the club can't be bothered watching us, or he's lost interest. It was a rich blokes midlife crisis.
villanwesty88 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 You're forgetting something "proud history, bright future!" - they wouldn't lie to us, would they?
