  1. So Sunak starts the day claiming credit for something that is f all to do with anything he has done - the fall in inflation. Then within a couple of hours gets the news his governments Rwanda plan is unlawful which over shadows the news he was wrongly claiming credit for. The guy can't catch a break can he. Love it.
  2. Controlling inflation is the domain of the Bank of England not the government so Sunak/Hunt etc claiming this as their success is bullshit. There was a reason Sunak said he would half inflation by the end of the year as he knew that the huge rise in energy bills that happened last October would drop out of this months figures so F all to do with anything he has done.
  3. In fairness mate I see it that whilst they are infighting then they haven't got the time or collective will to do anymore damage to all the things you mention and more. Any period over the last 14 years when they have been united enough to implement change it has always been for the worse. I'm more than happy to see them spend the next year stabbing each other in the front (the days of them bothering to back stab are long gone) as whilst they are pre occupied with that they aren't doing more damage to us.
  4. The more I think about this bringing Cameron back into the fold the less sense it makes. Seeing him hardly evokes memories of halcyon days does it. The mess the NHS is in started in 2010 when he arrived in number 10 and him and Osborne are the instigators of the dire state it finds itself in now. That also applies to social care, the huge increases in homelessness and child poverty, dire state of finances in local authorities, lack of growth in the economy since 2010, lack of housing etc etc etc. Everything stems back to Cameron/Osborne and their ideological values dressed up and hidden behind the need for austerity. And then to top it off he is also a major reason for the Brexit shambles which he ran away from leaving a country as divided as I can ever remember it ever being. Now Sunak sees him as a cog to help improve his/the Tories fortunes. They are well and truly out of road and finished aren't they.
  5. The Tories have 350 mp's but have had to scramble around to make Cameron a peer so he can be made Foreign Secretary. It says it all about the lack of talent in the Tory party. You've got to think there must a lot of pissed off Tory MP's at the moment. Those on the right and those pissed off that they were overlooked for a failed former PM who is not even a MP.
  6. Gove rocked up at the pro Palestine protest today. Just as he rocked up at the anti lock down protest in 2021.
  7. I know anyone with more than half a brain cell knows these far right thugs have rocked up today looking to cause trouble but what is their official bullshit line for walking around acting all hard chanting 'Allah is a peado' and 'There ain't no black in the Union Jack'?
  8. There is a child currently being killed every 10 minutes in Gaza. If today is not a day to march for a ceasefire and peace in Palestine then I don't know when is.
  9. The thing is the far right thugs have turned up looking to incite trouble.
  10. You generally find on twitter it is those with opposing views who comment on posts such as these. It says it all that the far right racist nut jobs have tried to really organise themselves today and yet the numbers that rocked up were tiny especially in comparison to the pro Palestinian march they were opposing.
  11. I wish I did sleep that well that I wouldn't hear them but sadly I don't.
  12. I have two daughters (25 and 17). My eldest had her first serious boyfriend at around 16 and half and they were together for almost 7 years. Before they moved in together when they were around 22 he must have stayed over 200 times but they never slept in the same bed. My youngest has over the last year had her first serious boyfriend and he has been stopping pretty much once a week for the last few months but again they sleep separately. I know it will sound like madness to some but it is just not something I was/am comfortable with and in fairness I don't think either of my daughters would be either. I think had I have had lads I would have been completely different but having girls it is hard, although I am obviously not stupid and know what will be going on as much as I have over the years tried to not acknowledge it/accept it
  13. You can see today as a missed opportunity or that we lost a tough away game (Forest have lost just 2 of their last 20 at home) and in doing so lost no ground to Arsenal and only find ourselves 1 further point behind Liverpool who had in most peoples eyes a nailed on win against Luton to come. If you'd have told me after 11 games (including games against Liverpool, Newcastle, Chelsea, Brighton, West Ham) we'd be sitting 5th 2 points off third, 5 points off top spot, I'd say 99.9% of Villa fans would have bitten your hand off. Almost a third of the season gone and we have put a cracking foundation down to build on for the rest of the season.
  14. I don't think our away form is anything to be overly concerned about. We have lost at arguably the two toughest away grounds, Newcastle and Liverpool, and today against a side who have lost just two of their last 20 at home. Today was a real freak of a game in fairness as we have dominated other than putting the ball in the net and will play way worse than we did today this season and win.
  15. Strange game. Martinez has had next to f all to do and we have, other than putting the ball in the net, dominated the game yet lost two nil. Just one of those days that you'll get once in a blue moon. We'll play way worse this season and win.
  16. True it is but Forest aren't biting in terms of committing men and us being able to break their lines. Now they have 45 mins to hold a lead that is likely to be even more the case. We'll have to quicken things up.
  17. Arguably the worst we have played all season. Loads of possession but way too pedestrian. Zaniolo is a passenger again and I'd be looking to bring Bailey on for him at HT and get him to run at the forest back line as at the moment it is way too easy for them.
