  1. Not only is he risking the future of our football team but he is also going to come close to losing the backing of the fans if he isn't careful. We all know once the backing has gone too it is seriously hard to get back. Are you talking about Houllier or Lerner here?
  2. We were shit, I didn't join in with the singing (the two little inbred chavs next to me did which says something...) but we were still shit and Houllier should go because it is obvious the players and fans are against him. He is fighting a losing battle.
  3. Allardyce wouldn't stabilise the club at all. He could only, realistically, be appointed in a caretaker capacity until the end of the season. In that position, he couldn't command the respect of the players, he couldn't sign any new players and he couldn't act as disciplinarian. Nothing about Allardyce would be stable, IMO. Of course he would, and I'd have him in exactly that role - as a six month caretaker. He takes no shit from players, they will respect him in turn and plays to the strengths of the team - something Houllier has no done during his time here. Do we need to sign new players? We need confidence and the players to want to play for us - Allardyce would be perfect for that role.
  4. P.S. Gabby and Petrov deserve honourable mentions... for managing to produce the worst games of their careers.
  5. Can any player deserve man of the match? NRC's famous work rate? Pathetic from the every player except maybe Dunne and Heskey, who then did a stupid thing. But again, this must come down to the manager as they just clearly don't want to play for him, immature as it is. Downing and Young at centre back with Cuellar, Collins and Dunne up front?! Just embarrassing to spend the last ten minutes watching Ashley Young trying orchestrate an offside trap. We lack confidence, fight and a tactician to do something about it. I honestly think, now that the fans have PUBLICALLY made it clear they want him to go as well as the players in the training ground, Houllier has to resign if he isn't sacked. There's no way he can turn a whole club around and even if he did, he'd always be fighting a losing battle with the fans. If relationships played no part in football, I'd want him to stay (though we wouldn't be in this mess had he not supposedly fallen out with half the team), but they do. He's got to go for the interests of the players, the fans and himself. When you lose the fans the way he has, there's simply no option. I want him to be given the window, but he just can't turn this around. Get Big Sam in and stabilise the club.
  6. http://www.facebook.com/sam.matterface?sk=info Other page: John Terry - Captain, Leader, Legend. Oh dear.
  7. When he shouts "ya mug!" you can tell he really really really wants to shout See You Next Tuesday haha.
  8. I had a fiver on too at 14/1. Don't care I lost it though!
  9. The Terry thing is **** hilarious. That Chelsea fan is off his nut.
  10. What a bloke. Best thing about Collymore is, not only is he a good pundit and passionate about his club, he actually has the bollocks to admit who he supports - unlike his cockney, Murdoch-arse-licking colleagues.
  11. Couldn't believe we were 14/1 to win this yesterday. Put a fiver on. See what happens.
  12. What really **** me off about Spurs (I guess it does a lot of people) is how much coverage and chumming articles they get in the press. I mean you'd think Bale was the new Best and VDV Maradona. Redknapp is the best thing since sliced bread, when in reality he is good in the transfer market and average elsewhere.
  13. Well ,imho Stevie Wonder could see that GH was the wrong man for the job.we needed someone that could get more out of this team .GH has come in and turned the club up side down ,trying to change our players style of play and outlook to quick.. Balls. A man with a proven Premier League record who has worked with players of the highest quality both domestically and internationally. Has won things in the Premier League and guided Liverpool to their (equal) highest league finish in the last twenty years. I never heard any huge criticism of the appointment at the time, there were a few concerns, but to say a blind man could have seen it was the wrong appointment is ridiculous. He was the best available and still hasn't had a transfer window.
  14. That is just your opinion and not one shared by many people at the time we appointed him. I'm not getting into the whole 'who else could we have got' as its both off topic and ultimately totally pointless but you cannot say appointing Houllier was a good decision even at the time. That is just your opinion and not one shared by many people.
  15. Board's fault for not having powers to predict the FEWWWWTCHAAAAA
  16. Blaming the board? Christ you lot are ungrateful. Who the flipping hell would you have appointed?
  17. If Pires was made club captain I think I'd completely u-turn on Houllier and want him sacked the next minute. I'll be disappointed if we don't make a signing by the Sunderland game because it would show that Houllier really isn't that in a rush to change things when they desperately need to be made. With O'Neill, though he **** around during windows he'd always have the excuse we were doing well, particularly at this stage in the season. I still have faith in Houllier and lord would I not want MON back, but he needs to get stuck into this window!
  18. If the media saw this they'd have a field day with the way it's worded. He hasn't met my approval this month, but by no means do I want him out.
  19. No way Brucey. Delusional potato head if he thinks we're going to sell arguably our star of the season.
  20. Agree with Phil Gibson too. Also, stop locking the Houllier thread!
  21. 1. MON - left us in it days before the beginning of a season. Meant any manager that wanted to come in and change things was taking on a poisoned chalice at least until Jan. No question for me he is sky-high number one to blame. 2. Randy - Allowed MON too much power, which resulted in him throwing his toys out of the pram. Then delayed the appointment of a successor for too long, thus meaning anyone would have to wait until Jan to do ANYTHING. But again, this comes down to MON, who created the situation through his stubbornness. 3. Houllier - has fallen out with the dressing room apparently whilst managing to get 90% of the fans against him. But again, a poisoned chalice in my view. 4. Players - I can't fault their work rate (apart from the Man City game, which was more of a case of heads dropping IMO). They do try, and though they get paid far too much, can only do their best. We lack quality in the system we play and this comes down to Houllier for the choice of system, but MON and the board for the situation meaning we lack that quality.
  22. Would just like to add my support to the 'Pires for Man of the Match' campaign - inspirational he was.
