Of course, things take time including developing. Nobody, or at least I'm saying he can't improve, but I am questioning his role currently and in the immediate future on his current performances. As far as long-term future is concerned, yes at 21 he still has loads of time on his side, however his passing is one of his poorer attributes imo. Something that needs plenty of work.

I just don't see Jacob being creative enough to play as a 10 and unless his passing goes up a couple of levels I'm not sure playing as an 8 he'll push DL or BK out the midfield. Hopefully Emery improves him and finds at least the level he was at last year because at the moment I only see him as an impact player.

I don't think JJ is a CM. I don't think his passing range is anywhere near the standard of Dougie or Kamara and that will be the new minimum standard imo. I personally think he'll end up out wide.

I've been thinking for a while now that the main attack will eventually come from Zaporizhzhia into Melitopol to cut Russian lines but that hardly looks probable while Kherson and especially Nova Khakovka are still in Russian hands. I think things are still at a standstill. Russia have been pushing hard around Bakhmut and not getting anywhere. Ukraine are pushing towards Svatove and getting nowhere fast. I'm not sure if it's winter setting in or just both sides tiring each other out. Probably a little of both.

I said the other day Villa's biggest problem has been the appointments of bang average managers and that our lack of progress has been due to this. Well times are changing and not a day too soon. Superb work from the board.

He was excellent at this today. He's endeavour in trying to win the ball and get us moving is second to none. Such a grafter with a wonderful eye for a pass. I don't get why people think he's lightweight. Often he wins the ball or steals it from much more physical players. I think he's great and needs to start more frequently.

Loved how he faced the North stand for the pen only celebrating when the crowd let him know it went in. He's so immersed into the club now it's great to see.

You said he'd struggle in the championship. I think you're harsh on the kid as was your post the other night tbh. I think Bailey needs game time and a good run of games to get into a rhythm but it's obvious he has enough talent for the PL.

At this point it shouldn't matter who triggered the decision to relieve Gerrard of his duties or who broke the news. It doesn't matter either in the manner it as done. What matters is that action was taken and today a redemption of sorts came to fruition. That's all that really matters right now. We move on and hopefully upwards.

I'm wondering how our toxic fans came across on TV today because it was pretty radio active in the ground today. I saw at least 3 people with their eyes popping out when the 3rd goal went in. Scared me to be honest.

Playing both him and Watkins gave us the natural width missing for so long. If they'd played opposite sides and inverted, we probably wouldn't have had the width which works so well for us today. Masterclass or common sense it worked well.

I think he'll score 2 or 3 more before the seasons out. He's becoming much more dangerous in the final third getting into shooting positions. I love him. F*** the haters.

He was brilliant today. A real captains performance. I watched him during a break in play on the half hour mark go over to Emi and Leon to gee them up. Simply excellent in every facet. I deserve a slap tbh as I was unsure about him staying and he's proved me seriously wrong this season. Better than last season, so far imo.

Another player that found his old self today. Some of his link up play with Leon, Emi and Ollie was sublime.

My MOTM just shading Luiz. He was simply everywhere today pulling strings like a puppet master. Brilliant.

Simply immense and did everything but score. I've liked him since day dot and see a great player in him. So pleased we got him on a new deal.
