  1. Ukraine cannot go back on what Zelenskky has been preaching for the last 9 months or so. If he does, he loses credibility in Ukraine and the government will fall at some point. Forget what the West want and look at things from a Ukrainian standpoint and you'll realise too much water has passed under the bridge this time. Ukrainian's, especially those displaced, and those with family casualties are not going to accept compromises. And why should they.
  2. I hope he has a cracking tourney tbh.
  3. Because if the missile was shot down near the border with Poland and fragments ended up in Poland, well it's an accident. Or at least it can be spun that way.
  4. I think at the very least NATO will now probably enter Ukraine purposefully and at the very least provide air control. However, this occurred, whether accidental or otherwise, they'll be some with itchy feet hoping this is the start of something bigger.
  5. I don't think we are or have been a dirty team, not for a long time. We are however a clumsy team, or at have been. I would say that a bit or dirtiness, steel in any side is required to be successful. Hopefully we do become a little nastier and less passive. It's the least I expect during Emery's tenure.
  6. Maybe the Ukraine MOD are already giving out clues....
  7. Be interesting to know where these attacks have originated from, land or sea. In any event these would appear to be special forces operations.
  8. Apparently, all Russian's in Crimea are now being told to leave asap, sell off whatever property they have and go back to Russia. Even those with Ukrainian passports. All over Telegram. I wonder if we are on the cusp of a true revolt in Russia. It's always been a Putin banner taking Crimea, losing it would be the end for him.
  9. I agree. As slow as the pass is into Luiz he still manages to get his body between the Brighton player and the ball. It's a foul but you could also argue we got away with the penalty appeal, so the balance got restored.
  10. Lets see if he keeps improving before getting carried away. Better today by a long way but he has a lot of ground to make up. I'm doubtful he is the future of this team.
  11. Ings Very Good Shit(if it was an option) On another note, I'd take progression in the league over a cup run everyday. Back to back league wins and impressively done, happy days.
  12. I think with both us and Brighton trying to play a high press everything in between is frantic. We really need the back line to steady themselves in the second half and not piss about. Either go long or move the ball quicker. This is still very much in the balance. I'd like to see Archer on with Ings as I think we could find space continually beyond their defence if we play this right
  13. Looks like all them Russians that voted in the referendum have changed their minds.
  14. Stop being so miserable. It's one game, a friendly. You're not the only ST holder either and there are those out there that can't take their whole family because some are on a waiting list or those that can't afford it anymore.
  15. Don't be silly Nick. You might get 5-10k on the waiting list that take the option on a friendly game if that. The rest go on sale as per normal. There are many families that have kids on the list unable to secure them ST's for many reasons. These kids or people wanting ST's should get an opportunity to watch their club too. It's one game. no one will pinch your seat
  16. Yeah, I think that would be a good idea. Let those on the waiting list have the first refusal on tickets. Get everyone in who can't normally go at a reduced admission. These are the people we want in the ground when the new stand is built so a gesture of goodwill imo wouldn't be a bad thing.
  17. Think they should just open the whole ground and put all tickets on general sale to those with history, members, etc. Let those stuck on the waiting list or without chance to normally go attend. I'd be fine with that.
  18. I don't agree with this statement tbh. If you are a ST Holder, frequent games or have been down the ground anytime recently, then you'll realise that actually we have a very diverse crowd these days full of ST holders under 40. You'd have to be near on 50 years old to remember 82 or that period and many of the ST holders I would gather came after that era. I don't know where this idea has come from that it's only middle aged blokes down the Villa but it's total nonsense. As for social media and branding blah blah blah.... who really gives a shit. Aston Villa is Aston Villa and ST holders are as good a judges as anyone to be asked their thoughts on the process and decision. If I wasn't an ST holder I'd still be happy for those that were to make the decision for the general fanbase. I think opening up the poll to club members etc would have been a good idea but where do you stop.... By allowing every random on the internet to have a say.
  19. There was a point last season whereby I thought it must be external reasons for him still looking overweight, not match fit or just off the pace. I actually felt a little sorry because he is, above all a trier. And God loves one of them. However, that's truly gone now. There is no sorrow only ruthlessness for the apparent lack of discipline, intelligence, or indeed a will to resolve the weaknesses in his game. His passing is atrocious, his inability to slow the f*** down when challenging for the ball(before clattering whoever) is atrocious. We could literally go on and on but the bottom line is the cons far outweigh the pros these days.
