To be fair I agree with a lot of the anti-xmas sentiments, though my gripes are more to do with the fact that it is entirely a cynical commercial enterprise. When I start a family of my own I fully intend to do 'xmas day' after the 25th, and buy everything for half the price. Xmas is literally a license to print money, our money, for large business. Im not a Christian so why not have it a day or two afterward? However, Im not about to moan about the fact that my family are occasionally quite boring... just have a few drinks and get involved!

Watched 24hr Party People for the first time last night, really enjoyable stuff. La Haine, if it hasn't been mentioned, is a fantastic french film about urban life. It formed the basis for 'kidulthood', which obviously was shit. but la haine is quality.
