  1. So many average people in the world but God forbid a footballer have an average performance
  2. The Watkins goal vs Spurs was the first one the 3-5-2 has produced from the first 11 picked by the manager to start the game. Every other goal has come after Dean has made multiple changes to shape and personnel. We just don't have the players to use it effectively over anything more than a small run of games. Targett will never be a wing back. Lost count of how many attacks he wasted because if he can't blast a low/hard cross through the box he has no plan "B". Hopefully after the international break we return with some version of a 4-3-3 .
  3. My local club uses that exact formation with a high press. Only problem is with only 3 subs I don't know how you maintain that intensity for 90 minutes. 4-2-3-1 is the choice for me as well. Buendia, Bailey, and Bertrand is a dream for any striker they are supporting.
  4. If Bailey is fit we have to go 4-3-3. As many have mentioned Targett is very poor as a wingback. He needs a winger/inside forward to overlap with. Leaving him out wide by himself leads to poor crosses and lost possession.
  5. You miss the Brentford game? He was a slip away from an assist in the United game as well. He looked fine to me. Just couldn't get on the ball today because our CBs kept hoofing it OB.
  6. Spurs were equally poor. They have a world class forward with Son though. He carved us open multiple times in the 2nd half.
  7. Our match winner was injured, theirs won it. Those are the breaks sometimes.
  8. Not the greatest game. Got beat over the top twice in the 2nd half. Real school boy error type stuff.
  9. Yeah main reason I wanna throw on a couple of attackers. Spurs look very average. Their for the taking.
  10. I pull one of the centerbacks and put on Buendia. Need some creativity behind the front 2.
  11. Scored 2 goals in 3.5 games with the players currently on the pitch. Gotta change it up.
  12. The Athletic is in full on "club in crisis" mode over Tottenham. Article after article over how poor the Nuno appointment was and the lack of effort by the players. Really want to win this so we can see what happens next.
  13. Jordan Pickford and Kasper Schmeichelmakes make roughly £100k a week. I guess we could offer around their but honestly that's still an insulting offer for a keeper as talented as Emi. We probably need to come in around 200k but even then that puts Emi over a 100k less than De Gea who he is easily on par with from a talent perspective. If he goes to the World Cup and performs even just half the heroics we see every week then he will be a guaranteed starter for any club in the world. The big clubs if Europe can offer him everything we can and wages that would give us a nose bleed even thinking about. Love the guy but given his current trajectory he is probably the next big money sell.
  14. This week has been Martinez's coming out party. Even the most casual football fan knows about him now. I'm not sure we can even afford what his wage should be for his next contract. A Top 5 GK makes on average in excess of £200K per week. May have to just enjoy him while he is here.
  15. You're kidding me . Veria's face alone has me in stiches.
  16. We don't have the space for him now but if we have a European campaign next season we have to purchase Gallagher. He's like a slightly more athletic version of McGinn. £20 million should be enough to get Chelsea to cut loose.
  17. xG is about quality of chances. Targetts chance was our highest per xG. Hause's header was low , like .04. It was a crappy chance but just an amazing header by Hause.
  18. Arteta looks utterly clueless with how to close out this game. Maybe Nuno should have tried to actually compete in the 2nd half and not just park the bus.
  19. Tottenham looking out for all the FPL players out their. #Respect
  20. Just realized Nuno subbed on a defender and a DM. He's accepted the scoreline literally just trying to limit the damage .
  21. No one is calling Arsenal poor but this scoreline is almost completely down to how badly Spurs are playing.
  22. Actually he's the reason Kane wanted out. It was over the moment they appointed that pretender.
