As long as we have people who know a shit load more about football, and running a Premier League club, than Faulkner and Lerner i'll be happy. There has been no progress under Lambert. I had such high hopes for us after the last 10 games of his first season. I felt we had clicked and were on the way up. However roll on this season and our quality of football has dropped dramatically. Lambert looks and acts clueless when opposition managers change tactics against us. But the biggest thing is how he has wasted the limited funds he has had. He has spent 4m or so on 2 LB's and then had to sign a 3rd because they were crap. He signed the likes of Sylla, Tonev and Helenius and has rarely played them. Why sign these players and then not use them when our squad is riddled with injuries. At the moment it seems that Lambert could get away with the dire showing last season because everyone is preoccupied with selling the club. Lets hope that any new owner has a modicum of ambition and realises that Lambert is better off managing Celtic.

If Albrighton goes and Lambert stays this will be just another chapter in the Lerner/Lambert comedy double act/fuckup.

We won't go down next season, or be in a battle. I hope you're right. My biggest fear is that this "takeover" drags on and on and we are left in lambo limbo until it is resolved. So much contradicting bullshit in the media as well as the forums it's a real mind hump.

I just don't want to be in a relegation battle again next season. If Lambert stays and is only given £20m to spend I think we are ****.

One thing is for certain. After the shambles of this season including Lambert losing his 2 assistants and having one of if not the worst home record in a season, he just has to go. New owners = new start.

This. I think Lambert going to the States can only be to confirm his position with the club. Maybe even to meet the new owners and see what's going on. Regardless of what happens with the club PL will want clarity on his position sooner rather than later. No point him steering this rudderless ship, only to be booted in July.

Liverpool's owners haven't spent money. Liverpool won the league with frees and loans. Typical BBC.
