  1. We would never get Klopp anyway. He won't go to United, that's pretty much nailed on for Van Gaal. Spurs will end up with Pochettino and Southampton will probably appoint Lambert once we've sacked him and brought in Moyes.
  2. Usmanov please. Then he can turn us into a filthy rich club that hoovers up the best players in the world with little to no morals. Mwah ha ha ha.
  3. IMO whether we keep Lambert or not (if we are taken over) will depend on who is put in place above the manager. Hopefully we will get someone with a lot of experience in as CEO.
  4. Nice through ball from Sessegnon there.
  5. I'm not too sure why some people are miffed by the Admin 2nd post about another bidder. It's not like he has said it was Davis/Simpson but now might be off. That would cover his/her back. 2 parties have been suggested, either of which would be better than Lerner.
  6. ‘Broke’ the Culverhouse after Trent mentioned something on here. Have we been bought then? Got nothing right off his own back yet. I think the Lerner statement shows we are going to be taken over. Exactly. It would have been denied by now if something wasn't going to happen.
  7. 2-0 Man City after 10 minutes. Good start.
  8. Club Pld GD Pts --- 1 Liverpool 38 56 87 --- 2 Man City 38 64 84 --- 3 Chelsea 38 44 82 --- 4 Arsenal 38 24 76 --- 5 Everton 38 23 72 --- 6 Tottenham 38 2 67 --- 7 Man Utd 38 16 62 --- 8 Southampton 38 6 54 --- 9 Newcastle 38 -18 49 --- 10 Stoke 38 -10 47 --- 11 C Palace 38 -18 43 --- 12 Swansea 38 -5 40 --- 13 West Ham 38 -12 40 --- 14 Hull City 38 -10 39 --- 15 West Brom 38 -14 38 --- 16 Fulham 38 -40 37 --- 17 Aston Villa 38 -20 36 --- 18 Sunderland 38 -22 36 --- 19 Norwich 38 -29 36 --- 20 Cardiff 38 -37 30 This is what I predicted. Will be very nervous until May 11th, when my nervousness will replaced with rage or delight. However, hopefully we can get 2 points minimum from our next 2 games and then we should be ok.
  9. The important bit is about keeping us in the league. If, after all the cost cutting, we are relegated, it would more or less mean that the last 2 years has been for nothing. We need new ownership regardless of what division we are in next season.
  10. Villa fans want us to become a top 6 side, that wont be a possibility with Moyes in charge. When he can't break into top 6 with Man Utd, how the f*** is he going to achieve that with us? Please tell me, because I don't have a clue. He broke into the top 6 with Everton, a side far more comparable to use the Man Utd are. After a quarter of a century of Fergie and unprecedented success no one was ever going to succeed at Man U this season, regardless of whether their name is Moyes, Mourinho, Kloop or anyone else you care to mention. With Man U success had to be instant, with Villa it would need to come over time and be built up, just as Moyes did at Everton. Personally I'd be dancing on the tables if we got Moyes as manager, although I don't honestly think for a second we'd be able to. I predict lots of Villa fans throwing their toys out of the pram when we don't get Kloop or Guardiola. Augustus Kloop?
  11. He's got a good eye for a player and Everton were very good under him. With a bit more backing he could do really well for us. I think the Ferguson factor would have scuppered most managers TBH. I think that someone who would have succeeded following Fergie would have been Ancelotti, but for some reason they opted for Moyes. I think Woodward should be under a bit of pressure as well.
  12. Wouldn't say no to Moyes. If we went down we should try and get him in to help him rebuild his slightly dented reputation. All this talk of Klopp is a bit much IMO. I can see Simeone going somewhere in the summer, with Klopp potentially poached by Atletico Madrid. We'd need to have owners who were willing to spend £200m on new players to get someone like Klopp in. Athough I can dream.
  13. Giggs until the end of the season is what is being reported. Hmmmm. Well if true let's hope he has learnt a fair bit from SAF.
  14. Who the bloody hell are they going to get in before next week's game? This could have a negative effect on us as United play Norwich on Saturday evening.
  15. Blimey. Obvious typo, of course it's wasn't bought for 593 bn, it was bought for 593 million. Thanks for clarifying. Definitely required.
  16. I suppose even if we do go down we will have the parachute payments and the knowledge that Lerner wants to sell up. He may have to invest a bit to get us back into the PL but with our resources, even though they are much smaller than when MON was in charge, we really should be favourites to come straight back up.
  17. Would it be typical though? Last season was the season nobody wanted to go down (more than usual) because of the new PL prize money and we didn't go down then. I suppose for me it would be the piss flavoured cherry on the spunk icing of the turd cake that has been the last 4 years. To go down now, with potentially big changes on the horizon should we stay up, would be gutting.
  18. Yep. Still shitting it and the Lerner statement has me even more worried. Would be typical of the last 4 years for us to **** up a takeover by getting relegated.
  19. Let's hope Swansea are happy to play out a draw next week.
  20. I don't think Bruce will believe that just yet. This could be a good thing as they go to Fulham next weekend so let's hope they can get 3 points and then ease off for our game the following week.
  21. What annoys me is that some of the journo's on Sunday Supplement think it's part of the game and that it's tough if someone from within our club leaked the info. I'll try that argument next time someone offers me stolen goods and the police want to talk to me about it. Admittedly less serious but the principle still applies. If it came from within our club someone must have either asked for the info or was offered it and, more importantly, accepted and used the information to gain an advantage. Pretty sure Palace could have beaten us without a "dossier" but it's irrelevant. The match was not played fairly as Palace had a clear advantage.
  22. It also helps having a "12th man" in every game. I am of course talking about the refs as opposed to the **** annoying fans.
  23. And they know how to influence a ref. Something that we struggle to do.
  24. Or Hull. Personally I think 36 points will be enough.
