    If we bring in a better CEO, someone who might even make the fans thing 'Now you're talking!', then surely Faulkner leaving will be seen as a positive, as it will have lead to the appointment of said person? I personally think (hope) that Lerner has taken notice of many calls for a clear direction, lead by someone with a good plan, and is in the process of bringing in a CEO that we can get behind. I would love to share your optimism but after the last 4/5 seasons Lerner is clearly not bothered and his latest statement is more bullshit to add to the mounds that we have already been fed. Very little will happen IMO until we are sold and the sooner that happens the better.

    If we are not being sold it would be good if Lambert is backed and allowed to bring in 3 or 4 quality players. Sadly, the way Lerner has run the club since appointing McLeish makes me think that this won't be the case.

No chance in my opinion, we shall see I guess. You are normally pretty clued up on the goings on at VP. Are you as informed as the rest of us on the subject of a takeover? i.e. not at all.

    It's a real sad state of affairs when the possible appointment of Roy Keane as a part time Assistant Manager is our clubs big summer news. Especially given the fact that we are up for sale.

    Southampton's style of play will change a bit now they have a new manager. As someone has already mentioned it would not be a surprise to see Koeman bring in a load of players from Holland. Hopefully he likes KEA.

    The depressing thing is I think we can afford to spend some money, it's just that Lerner seems to have made the decision not to. Think I heard somewhere that we are in a much healthier financial position and we could be looking at turning a profit of something like £17m for the financial year just gone. Not a lot of extra money to spend but something. I'm just hoping that the players that have come in aren't here to replace Vlaar and Delph as that would be the final nail in the coffin for our survival chances next season. EDIT - Shit. Just realised I went a bit off topic there. Um, Robert Snodgrass is a prick.

    Wonder if Pochettino will go after Rodriguez. You've also got the likes of Clyne and Lovren who could also leave. Gutting thw Soton squad in one window is not a great idea IMO.
