Worryingly Richardson has been used as a number 10 in pre-season. I actually didn't think we needed another LB but Lambert seems to like signing them.

The problem is we are now in a position where the gap between the top clubs in the league and everone else is growing. Our squad needs 50m at least now just to compete but next season it could be double that. Team like Everton and Spurs, once our rivals for the top 6, are now spending 20m+ on one player. We are will become even more unattractive to potential buyers even if we do survive. Lerner needs to realise this or this downward spiral will continue.

It's hard to find quality players on a small budget. Kozak, Bacuna and Okore all see to be good buys. Luna and Tonev, not so much, but what do you expect? I expect us not to sign crap players, but I can accept that we will end up with our fair share of shit ones given the budget restrictions. However, it annoys me when we sign players who don't perform and instead of keeping them at the club or selling them, we loan them out and probably pay a portion of their wages as well.

Yeah, that is what we need to do with a young player, coming off the back of a terrible injury, in a new league with little experience behind him. Play him out of position. Jeez. Okore hopefully can get 30+ games under his belt playing next to Vlaar at CB, I am excited. I am excited as it means that we won't play Clark and Baker together, barring any injuries to Vlaar or Okore.

Yippee. Some more positive speculation to keep the positive aura around the club. Well I'm hoping that the ones leaving will be the likes of Luna and Tonev as opposed to Vlaar and/or Delph.

As much as I think Lambert should have gone in the summer, I really really don't want Keane as our manager. Lambert has to stay until Lerner buggers off and we can bring in a new management team.

He basically admitted that his heart wasn't in it anymore. That's a great message to send to the players, staff and fans.

We need investment desperately either from Lerner or someone else. If someone offered me 17th now I would take it and i'd imagine Lambert would too.
