I hear you--but that's what it's supposed to be about. Differing opinions, formations, player picks etc.
I've learned down the years that not everyone can always be correct, like me.
I'd hazard a guess that people on this forum are here to just have a chat about all things Villa and discuss a range of topics--not to impress Dean Smith with their player analysis and knowledge.
It's all good fun!
With Sarr playing as DM, then Douglas Luiz would then be available to play 8. I think JWP can play either as a 6 or 8.
My main point is that Ramsey would certainly benefit from a loan if we were to complete the signing of 1 or 2 of the midfielders currently linked.
Well, based on the current squad--sure. But we are being linked quite heavily with a couple of midfielders at the moment who can play that role in JWP and Sarr.
Sorry, I've always lacked ambition in life.
You are right though--my point was really trying to emphasise how much I would love to see Villa win a Cup competition.
I like the idea of signing Sarr, however is he ready to get chucked straight in? Or would he be as well as JWP or similar? Can't see us spending the best part of £50-60million on 2 CMs.
I would imagine it'll be in the £30-35million mark, if we were able to structure the finances in the same attractive way as we did with Buendia (i.e. a large amount upfront).
I think the best chance we have is by offering Norwich a financial deal that Arsenal simply can't match.
If he has the straight choice between us both, then unfortunately he will go to Arsenal (IMO).
