  1. Stop beating round the bush and tell us what you really think!
  2. Thats the way I read your post? I don't understand why you find that staggering? I must have interrupted your meaning incorrectly, apologies?
  3. Well that is not true considering many posters are critically discussing Westwood's ability on the forum, you would not expect so many people to be torn over his ability if he was "hugely overrated". I was more thinking along the lines of overrated by Lambert. Then again some people on here think he has the passing skills of Gerrard, the tackling of Makelle and the goal scoring of Lampard. Others think his below avaerage. I am in the latter camp as in my opinion he wouldn't get into any other Premier League side.
  4. Or even the same squad and a manager of the quality and character of Guzan we'd be a top half side?
  5. Posting for effect? What effect? It's in the site guidelines. look it up. Not sure. Is he? What does this have to do with my question? What does this have to do with my question? I think either he's struggling to come back from his injury, or he's not good enough to be in the first team right now. I think, or maybe hope, it's the former. Either way, no I don't think he's lost his bottle. And I think accusing a young player of "losing his bottle" just because he hasn't fully recovered from a potentially career threatening injury is pretty disgusting to be honest. Which is why I asked if you really believe that, or if you were posting for effect? Well what I was suggesting was that if he is playing any form competitive football then there is nothing wrong with his bottle? I have had an ACL injury personally and it is not very quick process to recover from especially getting back to twisting and turning. Okore's trouble is on here that he got so hyped up by people that he was never going win. Here's a new feature for you Stevo, word of the day! This weeks word is:- Irony
  6. Posting for effect? What effect? Is Okore playing football week in week out for the U21's? Has he been on the bench for the first team squad this year? Do you think he has lost his bottle?
  7. Lost his bottle then?? This shows how far ahead in terms of quality Benteke is of players like Okore and Kozak!
  8. Not very good, he hasn't been able to publicise it lately. He has been sitting on one of the pitches at the training ground for 8 hours after everyone has gone home, to make us a better side. Is he going to put the boots back on for us?
  9. Briiliant, well balanced post Mark. What a shame all this falls on our owners rather distant deaf ears?
  10. He sits on the bench every week looking like someone would get him out of there so maybe he's used his experience working with Lambert as practice for the hours of boredom they encounter in the jungle?
  11. What is it then? His baby blue eyes? His Hairy Hands? His sunny disposition? His football is dire! I think we have a decent squad but it's like his sucked the life blood out of them! The next two games are a worry with Southampton's cofidence sky high and Burnley will give their all every game which could be too much for us? Why are we never confident? Why don't we give our all every game? One reason, Lambert!
  12. I'm not even sure why you're asking that question. I think it's pretty obvious that the people that do want him to stay want that for other reasons. They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result! That's where we are with Lambert, he's had more than enough time to improve us and nothing changes. There are the few who think they are important because they know someone close to the manager and fair enough if they need that bit of adoration from other posters to make them feel like the big men. They believe the excuses and hype more fool them! None of the so called restraints were a surprise or shock to Lambert and he came in with his eyes wide open and he thought he could succeed. He couldn't do whatever he thought he could do and now he needs to look at the situation and concede defeat before it's too late. The owner is just deluded and he hasn't the backbone to make tough decisions so we can't rely on him. I just hope Keane tells Lambert look it's time to go son, let someone else have a chance.
  13. I can't beleive that after two and half years of dire football people are still clinging on to the faint hope that our current manager will come good based on four average performances at the start of the season and treat a draw at West Ham as some kind of major result? This guy is making me hate watching us and I couldn't even be bothered to watch more than the two minute 'highlights' of Saturdays game on SSN because I knew exactly what I would see! Our defenders scambling for a clean sheet against all opposition is not enjoyable to watch. He needs replacing ASAP with anything from a semi trained monkey upwards as it would be an improvement!
  14. I think it shows how uncreative Cleverley and Westwood are that a DM comes in and looks more attacking! LOL
  15. Plus he wanted Palace to upgrade their facilities to Premier League standards to help establish them as a top flight club and not think like the yo-yo club they had been. That's another reason he jacked, the boards lack of ambition. We only hear parts of these stories. Anyone that thinks MON just through his dummy in the dirt is an idiot because people do not pay off ex-staff on the tribunal steps because that ex-staff through their dummy in the dirt. There are deeper reasons plus most owners are not as sensible as they think.
  16. I hope he gets a good run in the team because if we are going to be relying on Westwood and Cleverley for creating chances then our losing streak will be going for a little while yet?
  17. When he came on against ManCity both his touch, positioning and tackling looked awful. Hope we don't have to see that again!
  18. Double like Mark's really honest post!!!
  19. Well that's the biggest problem we have at the club is the idiot in charge at the very top. I see no sale of the club any time soon which is worrying! We can only hope that someone is interetsed next summer. However I don't see how Pulis would be more damaging than holding on to the faint glimmer that Lambert may turn things around.
  20. I'd disagree as that was not my experience on here at the time. I have always had my doubts about Lambert and the style of play we were employing even during the first four games. I was obviously pleased with the points tally but when I voiced my doubts about Lambert long term I got some real dogs abuse. Especailly when I questioned the logic of his new four year deal, I was ganged up on and shouted down. Funnily enough a lot of those posters are less vocal now?
  21. IF IF IF Lambert were to go, and it is a possibility in more ways than the one, then I have a very strong suspicion it would be Pullis and he is a short term appointment and that really is not the direction we should be going in Short termism kills any hope of developing success at a club it really does as a manager comes in changes things to his way his players then goes and a new bloke has to come in and start all over again. Sure it isnt so bad at mega rich clubs that can attract the best talent regardless but at a club like us it will be a disaster. Love the people "plumping" for Moyes or Klinsmann or Klopp , like theya re going to come to us. If it happens in the next few weeks it will be Pullis. Thread over But our esteemed owner wants out and would be protecting his investment in the short term only! There's no point appointing long term if someone buys us and wants to bring in their own man? Short term safety is fine and if that means Pulis then fine!
  22. More like, when you're not a top 4 or a London club nothing goes your way. Despicable refereeing. Neil Warnock says hello and you're wrong? Only fashionable London clubs get the free pass from refs?
