    A midfielder who i have mentioned before is technically done..the club is waiting to resolve contract issues with current players(apparent Registration issues in squad also) and move on at least two players..This will go down to wire..possibly close to window closure. Just so nobody is trolling through all my old posts the player is Ibrahim Sangare

    Sorry i have been to plenty of matches home and away and nearly everyone i know in Villa circles has the same opinion as me.

    If people think that "as if by magic" our two main strikers are going to totally transform themselves into scoring machines this season they are going to be sorely disappointed. Watkins and Ings do NOT work upfront and anyone that thinks that they do need their head examined. If Gerrard wants to play that 4-2-3-1 system he is going to need someone up front who can put away the chances and currently the only person i can see that can do that in the squad is Archer. The club will not put all that pressure on a kid so young so its a definite sign for me that we are going to sign another Striker and either one of Ings or Watkins will be sold. There will be a few outgoings this week..Our defence looks solid now..we need one more world class Midfielder and striker and that will be us done.

    I would 1000% play Buendia and Coutinho every game to give us that edge on creativity. If that means the likes of Bailey have a reduced roll in the team then so be it.

    We have no cohesion so far today...No one seems to be taking command and shout orders...we should be overwhelming these with our playmakers but we seem to have none so far.

    Normally id say ok it was only a friendly...but after the season he had last year and the amount of misses he had i cant see any improvement in his finishing

    Somebody tell Barcelona that..the amount of money they are spending for a club in "financial difficulty" is staggering

    Watkins today was very poor...that miss was unforgivable even with the finishing coach they hired for him. Im sure we are going to have the exact same problem as last year up top if something is not changed
