  1. He's definitely more effective centrally, although I think ultimately he just had a really bad day at the office. It happens. And we were the winners in the end, so he can move on from that pretty easily.
  2. All our midfielders blanked tonight (McGinn was shocking), referee as usual in European competitions was atrocious, but who cares? We're in the semi-finals of a European competition having beat probably the 2nd strongest team in this competition. UTV
  3. Anna Leat has been given a straight red after 4 minutes for handling the ball outside the penalty area. Sophia Poor makes her debut...
  4. Go even further. Can you print off all 363 pages of this thread and go through it with Heck, one page at a time? Then you can beg him to tell us about Villa Park's long-term future. It might convince him.
  5. I just think it's crazy that 8 years ago, people in here were discussing the possibility of demolishing the North Stand/creating an all-year round entertainment complex. Now it's 2024 and people are discussing the possibility of demolishing the North Stand/creating an all-year round entertainment complex. In 8 years time, what will we be discussing? If it's about the possibility of demolishing the North Stand/creating an all-year round entertainment complex then I think we'll go crazy This thread is fun tonight.
  6. The RCS Numbers are B226546 for V Sports SCS and B282877 for the GP Sarl one: maybe searching it using that will work?
  7. Yes, through Trade and Company Register on the Luxembourg Business Register: https://www.lbr.lu/mjrcs/jsp/IndexActionNotSecured.action?time=1713299140518&loop=1 You'll have to connect as an anonymous user on the top left before you can search for a filing.
  8. The filings of the V Sports companies on the Luxembourg Business Register indicate that Atairos have taken up a 21.2% stake (255,500 out of the 1,200,000 shares) in V Sports GP Sarl, the newly formed ultimate parent company (as if we needed MORE). Sawiris and Edens evenly split the remaining shares, so they have 39.4% each. I think. Unfortunately, the documents are in French.
  9. The only chance he had of successfully disassociating himself with the Tories was when he threatened to resign after they cancelled HS2: and he bottled it. So his entire campaign revolving around separating himself from the party just looks pathetic now. Everyone knows that when push comes to shove that he'll fold.
  10. Slightly Villa-related Tory news: I don't think Andy Street is going to have much of an influence around Villa Park for very long...
  11. Touché. At this rate we'll just start playing at a brand new stadium one day with no announcement or prior notice.
  12. What an incredible stadium render. Looks like it was created by Bing AI: and proceeds to cut out half of the stadium...
  13. There were rumours of Coca Cola executives attending a Villa game a few months back alongside Wes Edens, weren't there? I think the speculation at the time was about them replacing BK8 as the shirt sponsor, but given the Betano announcement since it clearly isn't that.

    The NSWE Board

Seems like Lebada has already been involved as Sawiris' representative at Villa for a while.
  15. I'd prefer that the first team wasn't able to do this

    The NSWE Board

Angelakis is listed as a "Commercial Director" within his occupation. To compare, Nas and Wes are "Businessmen" and the others are just down as "Company Director". Rather indicative of what Atairos' input is going to focus on. Or maybe it's just a mistake given the above error!

    The NSWE Board

There has been an influx of directorial appointments at Aston Villa Limited. Angelakis has been appointed, as expected, but 3 other people too: each of them are representatives who work for Angelakis, Wes and Sawiris respectively. https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/00046572/filing-history
  18. The bookies believe that Man United and Newcastle will end up with fewer points at the end of the season than we have right now. Neat.
  19. Some men just want to watch the world burn...
  20. Have to go with the Man City one: it was the worst a Guardiola team has ever been outplayed, period. Plus, we battered them for 90 minutes as opposed to 45 for the Arsenal game. Absolutely not putting down today's result, mind: shows how great it was that we can even compare the two.
  21. We've recruited very well from the Championship over the years tbf: Konsa, Watkins, Cash, Buendia, etc. Long may that continue.
  22. Absolutely fair play to the guy. Spent the first part of the season on the bench for mid-table Boro in the Championship, and by the last part he's playing 90's against Arsenal and getting plaudits for his performances, having won his place in the starting XI for a CL chasing team. Fast becoming one of my favourites (there's a Bert-shaped hole in my heart that needs filling) Only a genuinely world class manager could look at the said rotational option at a mid-table Championship side, demand he's brought in ASAP in January, and have him slot in seamlessly.
