Doesn't shock me that someone would ay such a ridiculous thing either. Yes, his form has dipped and yes, he may leave in the summer, but let's put the pitch forks away ffs.

Haven't Spurs lost 9-2 in their last 3 games? It does work like that it seems.

Genuinely don't think we need another point. But yeah, let's finish it on Sunday.

When we are debating whether or not practically qualifying for the Champions League but losing the 1st leg of a European semi final is a good day or not, we know we are on the right track. UTFV! (BTW, it's done. Spurs will be lucky to catch us with 4 games in hand never mind 1)

Even if Spurs win tonight, a win at Brighton makes it 7 points ahead with us having 2 games left and them with 4. Wouldn't fancy Liverpool away, but we will do them at home. I think it's done tbh. (And that's IF they win at Chelsea)

Can't say much about this until after tomorrow's game, as we don't know form or injuries which is quite a big deal. Especially as we seem to pick up so many in game injuries this season. Lets hope we get through tomorrow unscathed then we can plan for this game as it's gonna be huge.

I'm sure Burnley v Wolves will pack out pubs and bars of Lansing, Michigan before the inevitable scramble for match tickets.
-
Ipswich going up hopefully. Poor Leeds. Lol
-
So you dont think that any of those 10k are currently buying match tickets? They are all just waiting? I don't think that's the case and so you are counting people twice. FWIW I dont think we have anything like 30k active waiting list people who would purchase a season ticket given the chance. I think a 50k stadoum would be filled for most games. Any bigger and I doubt it would be full for the majority of games.

The League Cup winners enter the ECL in theory. But of course it's always won by the Sky 6 so the place keeps going to the league.

It was. It was Europe's 2nd competition for many years, with the last final being played at Villa Park. If it was introduced today, people would belittle it just like they have the ECL.

Out of interest, did ypu consider the CWC a major European competition? It was considered to be huge at the time and the ECL may be new, but eventually it will be held in similar regard. In fact, the cup winners of.some countries qualify for the ECL like they used to for the CWC.

At the moment there is a huge feelgood factor and that boosts demand. After several years of top 6 finishes and the CL not being as exciting to the fanbase, attendances will plateau. I think we could currently sell 50k but 60k? No. Not for me. Maybe for the games against the sky6 with all the day trippers but we wouldn't sell out a 60k stadium for a regular PL game. I think 50k is sufficient. Especially given the potential cost of going any higher than that.

Yeah I think the new north stand will happen, but not in the next 5 years or so. As for any further development, I can't see us ever having an above 50k stadium at any point in the near future, which I think is fine as 50k would be enough. Newcastle are a one club city and dont have the problem of many residents within the vacinity of the ground (and across the city) either not being into football or supporting Man United/Liverpool.

How Spurs won that game I'll never know. Even against 9 men, they should have lost.

If havent written him completely off. I said he could make a career in the lower leagues like lots of our other youth products. No way he is staying at Villa though.

Yep and anything we get is pure profit so if we could get a 2 or 3 million bid from someone like Bolton, an upper table League One side, we should take it. And we would I'm sure. I don't think he is at Championship level yet (nor does my QPR mate) but he may be one day.
