  1. The only nationl stadium this country will ever have is Wembley. Its a fools errand to build huge stadium in Birmingham and think anyone will give a shit or take any notice, much less use it for semi finals or England games. It just won't happen. We could do with a 50k stadium for ourselves and we can do that by expanding Villa Park. We do not need a new stadium.
  2. They seem to think they will smash League 1 and so many aren't too bothered about going down. Ask Ipswich, Charlton, Bolton and Sunderland fans (all bigger clubs imo), how easy it is to bounce straight back.
  3. If you want to see something that really is pissing them off, there is a thread about them on the Sunderland board thats got their attention. The post about Villa being like "Real Madrid" in comparison has upset a few. Lol https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/new-birmingham-stadium-60k.1631355/page-11
  4. I'm still convinced we are singing Dale Stephens tbh.
  5. Can't wait for the Peaky Blinders theme park to pop up in Bordesley. They can get club legends such as Stan Lazaridis and Paul Tait to cut the ribbon. They are seriously deluded about their potential and the integrity of the owners. Hedge funds are designed to give returns to its investors. If Newcastle, who have more money than god, are having issues balancing the books, how the f*** do these clowns think they are going to become relevant? Build it and they will come? Half their current stadium fell down and they still can't fill it.
  6. They aren't going to say they are willing to sell Isak as it will effect the value. Guinaraes is different as I am quite sure he is going to a certain club and that that deal is quite far down the line already. We shall see, but one thing is certain, PIF didn't expect to be in this position when they bought the club. The one positive of the Man City debacle is that it has shone a huge light on PL finances and Newcastle have to play by the rules. That may not have been the case without the Man City situation.
  7. They haven't thought of that. Too giddy at the thought of taking over from Man City and sending da vile back to Lichfield. Mate.
  8. They have a thread guessing their attendance tonight and amongst the excuses for not going is that there will be too much traffic at the roundabout because of Eid. Lol They can't fill a 25k ground for an absolutely vital game, but they are gonna build a 60k stadium. Yeah ok then.
  9. Apparently they may have to. I believe we are in a better position currently but we will also make sales. Though not 2 star players I'm sure.
  10. They have FFP issues but if they sold Guimaraes for a big fee and bought a replacement (someone like Ramsey* just as an example) for 20-30 mil less, it would seriously help their position. They will command a big fee for Isak and and there will be a couple of disproportionately high earning players leaving as well. It's all about juggling the books and most PL clubs are facing the same issues. Us included. *Don't want to get into a Ramsey debate, just used as an example as they have ben after him for over a year now.
  11. If they do, (they won't), then it will because Spurs totally collapse in their next 5 games, (they won't). It won't be ahead of us. Even if Spurs or us DID lose basically every game, (we won't) Man United are not winning 5 more games.
  12. Their sad excuse for a forum is hilarious atm. Even more so than usual. They reckon we will be stuck with a shitty little ground whilst they are dominating Europe and hosting FA cup semi finals, NFL games and Ed Sheeran concerts. They are in a for a shock when they realise that whatever plans they have for the Jasper Carrot Arena , it won't come close to plugging the financial hole they are digging for themselves. They could end up like a 3rd division Everton. (Which is how I see them anyway tbf)
  13. I was at Brazil v Croatia in Qatar and honestly, he absolutely ran the show. All over the pitch. A proper legend.
  14. To even have 5 starters at the level of the 2 best (cheating) teams in Europe is some going. 5 years ago we had Yannick Bolaisie on loan. We will improve each year too, especially when we are in thr CL.
  15. If they go to Huddersfield in the bottom 3 then they are done I think. Come on Cardiff.
  16. And those losses were against Man City, Chelsea, Newcastle and Man United.
  17. The least PL sides in the CL the better chance we have ro close the financial gulf. F*** Spurs getting in. We will aim for higher than 5th every season anyway.
