Players have good games and bad games. Beauty is that when Ayew has a dip, we have players to bring on and contribute. Just like when Ayew came on against Reading, and won us the game. We're Aston Villa and should be beating teams like Bristol whatever easily! It shouldn't be a big deal. Why aren't the international players of Aston Vila going insane with a celebration when going 1 nil up to Bristol whatever in the first five mins of a league game!

And today's scapegoat is Ayew! if you watch the goal, you'll see a few players that aren't celebrating. The Ayew I've seen this season is a player who's worked very hard, doing the dirty stuff, playing backwards, helping out his full back. Pretty much playing wide midfield, as opposed to his favoured position up front / wide of a 3. End product has been lacking, but he's quality for this league and will come good.

All the current Villa boys that RDM has chosen need our backing. Westwood was pretty much ever present last season, through good form and bad form. He showed when others were off sick, or going on strike. In a marathon EFL season he will add value, and has started the season well. Some people need to get off his back, and support him and the team.

I love Gabby as much as the next Villa fan, but we need to move on from him now. A non match fit / sharp Mckormack has done more in three games than Gabby in 2 seasons. Gabby has seen off many fitness coaches employed by the Villa, and lacked discipline when good footballing pros (such as Keane) called him out on his performance. He was pissed up in a hotel room in London the day we got relegated. Not being picked cause he was too fat.

Bit early for this, two games in. But yeah, it's been fun watching us on the front foot. Teams showing us way too much respect by wasting time in the corner, when the game is 1-1 when they look likely to win the game. Its good spending 15m on CBs and buying strikers for 12m. As mentioned above though, is it good when you you don't get promoted after many seasons and end up like Leeds?
