  1. This guy is meant to be villa through and through. Doesn't show for the ball, doesn't break a sweat. Must hold the record for the amount of times he has been pulled at half time?
  2. This is incredible. Who's in defence? Lichaz Lowton Clark Bennet?
  3. Read my final paragraph. His kicking was aimless last night under no pressure. So yes, I was talking about last night. Will have to agree to disagree.
  4. Watch the second half of the Forest game again when he came off the bench, his kicking was putting us under pressure. I also noticed it at QPR, and that's a tiny pitch. The depth and accuracy of the kicks. Against Burton it was okay to be fair. Last night wasn't so much about the distance, but where it was aimed. Under no pressure kicking it to Westwood?? He should be hitting Kodja most of the time in my opinion. Maybe it's a tactic?
  5. We need better than this guy in goal if we're going to get anywhere. Weak for their goal. Also, his kicking is woeful. Rarely reaches the half way line, and aimed at the wrong areas.
  6. Were clearly not a team yet, but as mentioned above, what was RDM thinking with some of his summer signings? An experienced, reliable GK is a must. Plus a new midfield.
  7. Young promising player, shows inconcistent form.
  8. After a slow start Jedinak has been a good signing in my opinion. To simplify it, he's a defensive midfielder. In games where we need to defend he's been excellent (Blues, Cardiff etc) Games when we're on the front foot (a lot of them in this league), we need footballers in the midfield. Unfortunately we haven't got any. Jedinak should be that 80th sub option at home to see out a game.
  9. How can you rate Jedinak below the gutless ghost Gardner? Yeah sure Jedinaks only in the side because he's big, but yeah, that's one of the attributes why we got him in. If Jedinak had anyone capable around him, he wouldn't need to be trying to execute creative passes. Gardner has robbed us blind with the new contract. The fact that he got injured for not commiting himself to a tackle at the end of the first half says it all. Apart from that, a good summary.
  10. With context to my original point, his confidence is clearly shot and the fans are on his back. its not his fault the club haven't replaced him. We signed him as a gamble from League 1 Crewe for 750k. Since then we have spent: 5.5m Sanchez 7m Veretout 5m Tish 7m Ghana but for some reason he's still there. Poor management. As I said, from Jan, he should be nowhere near the side. Wonder who the next scapegoat will be? I'm going Elphik?
  11. "Stealing and living" .. do me a favour pal. He plays when asked even though he knows the fan base dislike him. As I said, it's not his fault we haven't replaced him, and previous management didn't sell him. id reserve that statement for NZogbia and Gabby. Gabby was too fat to play last year - stealing a living.
  12. I watched Gary Gardner do exactly the same against Wigan. We agree he needs to be removed from the team. Sure he will in time.
  13. Find it hard to knock Westwood. It's not his fault that the club hasn't replaced him, and he remains our 2nd best midfielder - even though he is poor imo. Showed 37 times last year, when others were at Janet Jackson concerts in Dubai, playing chewing gum games from the bench, getting drunk, tweeting super cars, saying they're going to a champs league club, or being too over weight to play. Never hear a pipe out of him, a true pro, who always shows. Shame it'll never be good enough to where we want to be. Now we have an actual manager in Bruce, I wouldn't expect to see Westwood near the 1st 11 come Jan. He cost us 780k from League 1 Crewe FFS. Can't believe we employed a manager and gave him 40m to spend and he wasn't replaced. UTV
  14. There's nothing to suggest to me that Gabby is one of our better players at this level. He's scored 11 league goals in 3.5 seasons. He can't control a ball and has lost his main asset -pace. At a lower level to Gabby, but at the level we are now, Ross McCormack has scored 68 goals in the 3.5 seasons. Rudy Gestede has scored 10 in his Villa career alone. Let alone the last time his was in this league and scored 22. Ayew has scored 9 in his villa career, and I believe he is our most talented player, but he's not a team player from what I can see. It was okay last season because there was nothing else on, but this year I was expecting more than the 2 goals. I would sell and get a winger in to play the position. Finally Kodjia. 7 goals already, 19 last year at this level. Gabby is behind all these players as it stands, but he is top of these in wages. So we have to make it work as he won't leave.
  15. You think Gabby is one of our better attacking players?
  16. Couldn't agree more. Gestede often comes on for Admomah! Crazy.
  17. Too many individuals, not a team. The squad is top heavy, with no balance. Get wide players in who want to cross the ball and assist. Play a striker who can finish such opportunities. With this in mind, Gabby and Ayew need to leave.
  18. No offence to Bruce, because the squad simply has no balance. But we need to stop playing strikers out on the wings. Kodja, Ayew, and even Grealish, take so much time on the ball. Beating a man, beating them again, before passing it back. Kodja rarely puts in a decent cross, and Ayew just runs into cul-de-sacs. By this time, the opposition are set - so easy to defend against. Yesterday we were set-up for pacey counter attacks, but we forget that Gabby no longer has any attributes, never mind pace. Plus Kodja and Ayew aren't Young and Downing - who naturally looked for a cross. Watched City V Chelsea the other weekend, top class players there - all of which had no more than two touches on the ball. They moved it quickly. We just fanny about. Annoyingly against a home crowd yesterday, that couldnt wait to get on their teams back, and a defence with zero confidence. Small pitch at QPR on Sunday. Id go Rudy up top, Mccormack in behind. Adomah and Grealish out wide, and get some balls into the box.
  19. Jedinak is currently our midfield. Trying to do a job of many men.
  20. On Sunday, if your offered me five, clear, 1 on 1 opportunities with Gabby in on goal or a single, clear 1 on 1 chance for Amavi, I would go with Amavi everyday. He's our left back, Gabby is our most experienced striker.
  21. Clearly out of form. Needs taking out the side.
  22. Good interview. Imagine if he just said "we go again"
  23. This guy is woeful. We're not a charity
  24. 1 clean sheet in 17 for Norwich. Booed off at HT. They've never had an easier game.
