Recently moved to Seattle so I’m diving down the Kraken, Seahawks, Mariners, Sounders rabbit-hole as much as I can I have 0 clue about most of these sports least alone the clubs but it should be pretty fun

Eh most of us would find it pretty standard, exaggerated wojaks of non passing trans women and early stage /later age transition trans women being pulled out as what all of us look like is pretty much one of the only three or so jokes ‘gender criticals’ have…we see it alot.

I got beaten up really badly last year and ended up getting a few minor surgeries. Pretty fortunate comparative to how bad it could have been honestly

Its been nice seeing a test that could go either way right to the end after this Australian summer though to be honest. I haven't really been engaging too much with international cricket this year so first time really seeing England's new approach, Ashes should be good fun later in the year.

Well, it’s been a while and I’m a bit different now since my face got smashed up so why not post a fresh one

Demonizing trans women isn't even really about us, we are the thin end of the wedge, something weird enough to most people that a large enough number of otherwise ordinary people who just don't know much about us can be convinced of pretty much any vile thing they hear. You can really see how it spreads amongst the people who get sucked into it, it starts with believing deliberate falsehoods about Trans people being groomers or making spaces unsafe and the next thing you know they are anti LGBTQI+ in any sense and start eventually attacking reproductive rights and women's liberation. It all stems from radical conservative evangelical Christians and unfortunately the women who are doing a large amount of the heavy work for them are next in their crosshairs. Also on topic, I'm reasonably well acquainted with Sophie from twitter and I'd be more likely to believe my own mother would have said something like that honestly.

This has been coming unfortunately. For it to happen to someone so young with so much ahead of her is devastating. This thread generally is overwhelmingly evidence that this isn’t everyone, a lot of people have very reasonable views but unfortunately it doesn’t take everyone for tragedies like this to happen. Its very hard right now to believe Brianna being trans wasn’t the motivating factor with the history of transphobic bullying she had already gone through and the ridiculous lies about trans people all over the world at the moment. Not to deflect at all from the focus that should be on what has just happened but to add context, even over here a large reason I withdrew from this site and the internet at large was I was assaulted pretty badly myself for being openly trans femme in public and turning someone down at a bar. The climate feels pretty dangerous right now unfortunately and it only feels like this will happen again.

I don’t post here any more largely because of what some of the people who have posted in this thread clearly believe about me and people like me but it’s a bit hard to hold my tongue when a bunch of you are advocating for sentencing largely (not exclusively but largely) non violent offenders literally to lives of carceral rape in male prisons. You throw a woman, trans or otherwise into a male prison population you are essentially guaranteeing they will be assaulted frequently and studies bare this out. The vast majority of incarcerated trans women are in prison for sex work and non violent drug offences and pose a significantly lower risk to a women’s prison population than they would face in any facility with men. Regardless of what you believe about us or not surely this seems disproportionate to you?

I’ve been away for a little while as the world hasn’t been a particularly great place to be a trans woman recently and I had a bit of an incident in my own personal life that put that into harsh perspective for me. I kind of disappeared from everything bar twitter for a few months but I’m back and smiling again

I’m pretty much trying to keep my head out of discourse (I do enough of that on twitter) but the whole Leah Thomas thing is a massive beat up full of misinformation and straight up lies. I myself was a former Australian state swimmer with a few medals at junior level and I can promise you female HRT RUINS your athletic base, she won one race out of 5 (her pet event) miles off of Ledeki’s record at the NCAA meet coming stone last in one and middling the others, doesn’t seem like a sport destroying advantage to me really…what womens sport needs to worry about are transmasc athletes with male T levels (who ARE essentially men ‘biologically’) being forced to compete in female events and ACTUALLy slaughtering them every time. It’s happening a lot in actual non pro wrestling there at the moment…but that doesn’t serve the agenda

So years ago I as a transwoman (so assigned male at birth transitioned to female) took the name of one of my very favourite characters as my chosen name. Now in the season break between seasons 2-3 in which time the actor playing the character came out as transmasc (assigned female to male) and my legal name change went through the character has been adjusted to transition along with the actor and has dropped the name I chose. I’m not actually pissed off really (considered digging up the trans thread but I am a little bit out out by it I guess) good for Elliot Page but you couldn’t write it

I still maintain I should have gotten it as it was Jan 1 Australian time

I pretty much only pay attention to what Seth Rollins and Rhea Ripley are doing on WWE shows these days and follow AEW a lot more closely and watch what I can. Might watch Roman vs Cowboy Brock but I think this Wrestlemania looks really underwhelming on what we know so far
