  1. Pep barca best team ever . Pep city best PL team ever. Not even close.
  2. What was my measurements? You just said I can't measure it like that whilst I give 0 measurements as to why I say that. Man city team still easily the best...and it's not even close.
  3. They literally do have a lot to do with it? Unless you think 28 games is a good sample size to judge a manager over a team. Which is quite frankly, absurd. A few years ago we just witnessed a managerial masterclass by ranieri over a 38 game sample to make a team massively over achieve whilst the year before struggling to beat some welders and carpenters at international level. And there's idiots like me who think we shouldnt praise Bruce getting insanely lucky over a 28 game sample size. Maybe we should learn a few things about managers and sample size. Surprised every team in the league didn't hire this masterclass of a manager to win the league every year. Almost as if things arnt sustainable and people get stupidly lucky + don't deserve praise
  4. The man to take us forward is the man who decides the budget and those who get lucky enough to recruit good players.
  5. Greatest team in history is easily the previous 2 seasons of man city. And I don't think it's even close.
  6. This is dumb no offence. Are you confident Bruce can keep any team up? I'm sure they will hire him for the same next year. Will they get this lucky again over a short sample? Same as Pearson at Watford. Same as pulis with who ever team Same as Bruce with hull.
  7. Yeh but it's Bruce ball and it isn't lucky... how's mcliesh doing again? Sample size is hilarious. They deserve to go down and will go down next season if they keep Bruce in charge and playing the same way. Will happily bet money on it against people here who think Bruce is doing a good job.
  8. Recent pep interview about how it's fine margins between teams just shuts up nearly 99% of fans on fan forums. Especially journalists. Just goes to show how far behind fans are when it comes to football IQ, stats and everything.
  9. So did phelan. Likely had more influence over United training during fergies days than arteta did.
  10. Mostly right but not exactly. The reason why a lot of greats are greats is due to their raw ability. That doesn't mean that they have the genetics to be able to cope with the fitness levels of modern world or have what it takes to be able to improve their technique to get to the top standard. Sure some will, but a lot will likely drop off a cliff. It's probably likely that if you took all the nutrition and coaching back to 1970s it likely won't be the current greats who are light years ahead. But it will be a different group who can exploit modern ways to beat their raw ability. Someone like jack Wilshire would be a great back then where he wouldn't get all these muscle injuries every other week but his genetics can't cope with the demands of the modern game.
  11. And many new guys had major influence with teams depending on the team they moved onto next. Aka arteta. How much better is arteta setting cones than Terry? We have no idea...
  12. Genuine question, does it remove inconsistencies within the same game ? Why can't the ref make the same inconsistencies than the refs in the booths? We see how many inconsistencies have every football game before VAR. Why are we saying they can't so it again? Most complaints I see is that it's inconsistent between games. Whilst individual errors in a game
  13. I enjoyed this season quite a bit until the last 3 fixtures. Weve had some great moments against top sides where we should have done better in last 10 minutes. If we could have held out more over 10 minutes this season would have been fantastic. So I won't say it's been all miserable. But the last 3 fixtures where reality is setting in has been depressing.
  14. Match of the day? Huh? The rest is nothing that I disagree. Grealish is a better player. First couple of weeks before international break? Mount was more in form so it's totally understandable why he was picked for England. Second time he was injured around the time. Mcginn was fit all the time around then.
  15. Useless. 0 football iq. 0 technique. Works hard though.
  16. If Jack was that influential than he wouldn't have been moved to the left. It created unbalance to our side and he become so much more effective when moved to the left. I try to watch nearly every prem game. Mount was very good in the first few weeks. Is mount a better player? No. But at the first few weeks he was more in form.
  17. Well you started the yes / no. Ahhh a lot of good points which was never argued about. Where did I say he has to play on the left to be effective? I said he wasn't that effective and wasn't as influential than mount until he moved to the left. In the first few weeks when there was international duty.
  18. Said before, we have too many players that would be good/ok subs for prem teams. And at his current stage of his career, he's one of them. Can't perform a little bit consistent over 90 mins. Also baffled by some of pass attempts he plays. Can we stop talking about pep liking him? Pep never criticizes a player anymore in that way in media. Especially not someone who's leaving his club with a buy back clause. What things people say in media is all nonsense and doesn't reflect reality.
  19. Anyone who has a strong opinion on this should be put on ignore. None of us know what influence he has on the team. None of us know what the level of our defence would be before or after him. Just 100% speculation with no basis.
  20. Good player. Gifts a near goal scoring chance nearly every week which will stop him becoming top talent. How much of that is a product of him having to do too much at times I don't know. But it's got to happen less
  21. 1. So has the var guys. They seen incident also. They know whether they're looking for handball, or push on a corner, or a bad tackle. It take 1 second to communicate also. 2. Maybe yeh. 3. Accountable to who? Refs got away with a lot before VAR with 0 accountability. On the rare occasion, the ref had one of his worst games imaginable he would get demoted to championship for a week. But that doesn't mean the VAR guys can't be accountable. Why can't they? They can easily set up a system where they are.
  22. Well he was. Jack influence on games at the start of the season was not a stand out until he moved onto the left and had more of a free attacking role. Mount influence in first few games were bigger. He looked really good at the start of the season. A lot of Chelsea attacking play did. After jack moved to left, his influence was greater
  23. I know there's a like button but this. When has he ever been pushed off the ball and it not been done as a foul? Work rate maybe, but there's been plenty of times that I seen him contributing more defensively than a lot of our midfield players. This guy is on a wind up I'm sure. Don't get me wrong, there might be a element that were slightly over rating him. But he's class and deserves better than this shit.
  24. This whole england debate is so annoying. And slating Southgate is also annoying. Mount was the better player at start of the season. He just was. He was influencing games more than jack until jack moved to the left. Then he was injured around the next squad that got picked so it's understandable he wasn't picked. Let's wait and see at the next break. Who has more honours arguement is dumb also.
  25. Reading this thread, wtf. Do people genuinely believe people come off because only a knock to face? He would have come off many times this season if that's the case. You think management and team would allow him to do that also?
