    How is this man so good at it his job, yet so humble and kind? you see all the other “elite” managers and it’s mostly arrogant personality monsters, doing brand deals in their spare time. Then there’s Unai, a mild mannered man that loves his job and has tea with his injured players in his spare time. It’s genuinely refreshing to have a manager like this in the game and at Villa. he really symbolises what we are now.. just a quiet mild mannered club working smart and hard to make ourselves better.

    I’d love VAR to have a time limit, particularly for offsides. if it’s taking more 3 minutes to make the decision, then go to the on field decision. also, hand balls need readdressing. Particularly the “natural position of arms”. It should account for motion, such as turning, running and jumping. also, a general officiating thing I like, more punishment from diving. Even if it found after a VAR pen/red card decision. oh and if a pen check rules a decision out, but the ball went out of play by the defending player, then reward the corner.. not a drop ball for the goal keeper

    I’d add Watkins to that list… there’s no other striker that does what Ollie does, at the level a consistency he does. also Torres too… that’s an elite player, actually makes a noticeable difference to any game when he’s on the pitch. Outside shout for Mcginn too, not exactly world class or elite class, yet he’s an absolute wasp of a player. Persistently evading everyone’s space just trying to win the ball and closing down space, getting the ball up the pitch. Does this all over the pitch too, 6,8,10 and the wings. Is there anyone like him? At all?

    I would too, but tbf Unai is an absolute gent. He wouldn’t lash out in the same way. He’d probably expresse disappointment, rather than anger like ange did

    What evidence do you need? We haven’t made a profit in a transfer window since coming up. It’s only now we kind of making money from our commercial deals. it’s more likely we need to sell than we don’t…

    Depends what side of the financial deadlineline the Grealish sale was on if it’s the closer year, we be fine, if not, we need to sell. Because the press are speculating we need to sell this year, it suggests that we no longer benefitting from jack’s sale. Diaby would be a good shout, but I doubt we get much or any profit from him. Luiz would be the safest sale for profit, but is he replaceable? Tough call

    You can do all the language gymnastics you want, but we’ve spent for more than our incomings the last few seasons. It’s time to sell some players. Tough decisions to make. But it’s looking likely we losing a key player… at least
