Think somebody said they were hoping for an unknown signing on Wednesday, it's kind of snowballed from there, will probably start all kinds of crazy rumours now, I just try to stay out of it... Wagner Love confirmed!

He was a couple of seasons ago, I remember him tearing Liverpool a new one at Anfield in one of the cups, but a couple of injuries and a change in Wolves formation have seen his stock fall considerably there the last few seasons. I think it would depend on price, Wolves paid £13.5m for him and would be looking for the same back at least, I think that's a bit of a risk for an out of form player, so it depends how much we back ourselves to get the best out of him, he'd certainly fit our formation. If they ask for £20m like every other player we seem to be linked with, then no thanks.

Reminds me of that cheat for Championship Manager 95/96, which I never used... obviously...

However he did score this beauty against Monaco in the Champions League... Stats aren't everything thankfully, I think this guy is being brought for his potential of which there is plenty.

I've seen these kinds of documents before, although I rarely have to deal with anything this in-depth in my line of work(Web Design). When you consider the restrictions and guidelines the kit designers have to work to they really do a magnificent job most of the time.

Makes sense now you mention it, one of many cases where function overrules design, all a designer can do is make the best they can with the guidelines given to them

You've pretty much got it yeah, Kappa don't design it but they do have a say, apparently it was the same for last years kits with LUKE, he had a say and signed it off but the bulk of the design work was done by Fanatics. This is my understanding from when it was discussed a good few pages back in this thread, I'm no expert and have no inside knowledge.

Kappa aren't doing the designing as I understand it, although they will have some say, that means it's very hard to guess what the new kit might look like. I've just been doing what I think looks good, within the guidelines I've guessed might be in place. Personally, I don't like everything being quite so high and scrunched together as in the Kappa designs, the designer in me likes things to have room to breathe

I really hadn't looked all that much at Kappa's recent designs, mainly because as I understand it Fanatics will be doing the designing and Kappa just sign it off once they are happy. In any case they were probably too low on my mock-ups, so I've upped them on the most recent versions.

That would imply that Hogan is useful for something... we should up whatever fee we are demanding!

I don't mind 'part of the pride' it's just an attempt to put more of a community spin on the club which is not a bad thing, it's not part of the crest either, it's just a small part of the brand mainly used for social media (love it or hate it it's part of the world/game now). 'Prepared' is what I've always known on the crest, but I've never really understood it, up until recently I've never known us be any more 'prepared' than anyone else, so it always seemed a strange thing to have on the crest to me. I don't see any many other clubs have anything similar, it's just a quirky thing we have, it's part of our identity now though hence I don't mind it being on the crests I've mocked up

I think the problem clubs like yourselves will have when quoting a fee is that this TV money isn't the same in every country, if you inflate your prices too much, the Premier League clubs will go abroad where there is more value. Yes buying from abroad can be a risk, but so is buying from the Championship. Just because the clubs have money doesn't mean they don't seek out value, they have shareholders to pay. £20m is the value of a good Premier League player, given the choice between one of those and an unproven Championship player you can see why most Premier League clubs don't want to take the risk. It has trickled down to the Championship, way more players move around for £10m-£15m than before, but £20m+ happen very rarely and almost exclusively for Premier League proven players .
