  1. He is. But Buendia is just as good on the left and in most of the training stuff he seems to be playing there as well.
  2. Yeah his name is Leon (aka lion) and his PFP is him with his hands in his ears.
  3. El Ghazi did create a fair few chances. Its not his fault several times instead of hitting it first time Traore came bajc inside, or Luiz missed it. He was unlucky to not have a number of assists this year. Last year he had 5 in about 5 games more minutes. So whilst Bailey is obviously a huge upgrade I don't think you can say el ghazi is uncreative.
  4. Please let this be true. He's such an amazing player. We'd easily be the best team on the counter with him Jack, Emi and Watkins. Plus Traore and El Ghazi as depth is just ridiculous.
  5. Honestly we'd far more likely line up as Emi on the left, Jack through the middle and Bailey on the right. Both Bailey and Emi play on both sides if we signed them we'd be a very very fluid team especially with Baileys pace. I was saying I really really wanted him for a while. If we get him I really think we'd have to have a serious injury to not finish top 6

Congrats to Wes Edens and the Milwaukee Bucks for becoming NBA champions.
  7. Well not even Watkins had 2 goals disallowed by his left bollock. And hit the woodwork 7 (?) times. A couple inches here or there and he's on 20 goals.
  8. How could the people against you be described be the lovers?
  9. This thread really reminds of "Entrance of the Gladiators" a fierce battle between the lovers and the people who are correct. Anyway enjoy the theme tune of this thread. GET IT BECAUSE THIS THREAD IS AN ABSOLUTE CIRCUS
  10. Thiagos brother is spelt ike Rafinha
  11. He's just isn't better than Mings though.
  12. Yeah if you watch any Burnley game you can see he offers nothing going forwards as well. You don't need stats for that.
  13. I mean there was maybe not by the club but then there generally isn't a huge amount from them anyway. But most wanted another Lw or Cam. And another DM as well.
  14. Why? If we go 4-3-3 we have 4 players for 3 positions essentially (Ramsey needs to go out on loan) if we go 4-2-3-1 we have 4 players for 3 positions essentially. We need 1 for both imo. 4 for 2 is concerning when we nakamba is going to miss a month and it is the position that should be rotated most heavily. And so what if that is how Liverpool did it. We aren't them. City arguably play a 4-1-4-1 (with 4 behind the striker and holding not just 2 cms) and they are among the most dominant sides in Premier league history. 4-2-3-1 is an excelled structure for a team. Also Liverpool had 2 of the most creative full backs ever who had outlier seasons especially Taa. We don't have that frankly. So we need more creativity in our midfield.
  15. We desperately need a new Midfielder and another winger. Trez is practically out for the full season. Even with young as cover we basically only have 4.5 players for 3 positions fully fit. And Luiz won't be 100% ready for the first week if the season and nakamba will miss a month of the season due to the afcon. McGinn needs to be rotated as well. And if we get a longterm injury we could be left with only 2 or 3 long players for the most important position on the pitch. If nakamba is off on afcon. We could end up with 2 of Luiz, McGinn and Sanson and Ramsey who should be going out on loan.
  16. OK but in this case he probably isn't wrong. But also the gooners could do better as well.
  17. If you look at the defined roles in midfield McGinn doesn't really suit any of them imo. His close control and creativity are too poor to be a 10. His tracking back is too spotty to be a 6 or an 8. His pressing is just as inconsistent as is his positional discipline. His short passing is too poor for a 6 as well. He gives away unnecessary free kicks as we are winning the ball back as well. He has a number of good attributes such as his long passing and dribbling. But it comes with negatives as well. He quite often over estimates his ability and often only escape due to a very soft foul. And he isn't patient enough in possession when we are dominating games which often means we can't break down the low block because we don't wait for a mistake as he instead looks to play a highlight pass. Personally I don't think right now he is a good enough player for us to accommodate in midfield. At a lower table club absolutely. But the thing is you have to be a truly special talent if you don't really fit into one position. Hell look at pogba a lot of this is true for him and for most of his time at united he has struggled mightily but for France where he has a creative fulcrum in Griezeman and a defensive anchor in Kante he is one of the best players in world football. You either have the perfect personnel to accommodate you which we don't have for McGinn or your sheer quality has to be far above the other options which for mcginn it isn't. I like him I really do he just isn't good enough.
  18. Studies have shown those who swear more actually have a more extensive vocabulary than those who don't.
  19. He probably didn't speak English and we had no other Italians in the squad of course he wanted someone he could speak with. We gave up on him by deciding he wasn't worth doing something we agreed with him that we would do.
  20. Thought gollini was fine. He demanded to be sold because he only joined because he was promised an Italian goal keeping coach but when Bruce came in he brought in someone he knew from Manchester. Which meant gollini asked to be sold and Bruce's guy wanted Johnstone.
  21. Could probably do with a loan. At u-18 and u-23 levels he is just too fast and too strong for cbs to deal with. Want to see him battle out in league 1 for instance.
  22. Oh maybe that include blocked crosses which would favour full backs.
