I've said all along that to survive with a young team with bags of potential is totally acceptable. We finish 17th with this team and keep it together for another season, we will finish way higher than that the season after without too much reinforcing. This summer has seen us set up a squad with probably around 5 seasons of sustainability. If we survive, our next additions will probably be the 1,2 or 3 players of exceptional/world class ability that will help to push us on. For me, this summer just feels totally different to previous rebuilds i.e. MON and Sherwood's rebuilds. Under MON, he always did his business late (deadline day) and we were always saying about getting players in early to adjust with team tactics etc. Plus we were always fleeced by other teams because of the 'buy British' policy he implemented. I mean £7m for Nigel Reo Coker!!! £15m for Curtis Davies!!! Sherwood's rebuild seemed to be done without any serious planning, preparation or diligence on players to be procured and also the fact that he was a total cockwomble of a manager without any idea of how to play or develop a squad. This summer feels like we have been smart...good scouting, planning and diligence. Players who have either been team mates or have worked with the manager before or that can play to the system we are developing. Yes some players have cost a lot and that comes with risk but then so does any expensive transfer. Pogba hasn't exactly set United alight has he?? IMO....I think with the squad we have assembled this summer, we will finish comfortably between 10th and 15th which will be excellent considering we had around 5 consecutive years of looking over our shoulder or fighting in the bottom 3.

Hearing rumours his other leg has grown the extra 3cm overnight and now he is shit! Hope they are false!
