He's a complete maverick player. Can be having a poor game and then all of a sudden does something out of nowhere that no other player would do. We looked much better with him on the pitch.

Agree that he didn't look ready at all. Bad debut. Sluggish on the ball but he has barely had a pre-season. Perhaps should have started with Ramsey in his position.

Really liked the look of him. Probably will be first name on the team sheet for us this season.

I cringed every time the ball went near him. He offered no protection whatsoever and his passing looks like someone who has never played football in their life. -10/10.

I'm normally a very positive fan and really don't like to focus on negatives or single players out. But that was one of the worst performances I've seen from a Villa player in a long, long time. Nowhere near good enough. A quality DCM is an absolute must before the window closes.

My childhood was in the 90's so I have no affinity or nostalgia with the round badge. I just prefer it because it looks so much better. My main issue with the current badge is the dominant colours are yellow and blue. Where's the claret? I think it would look better if the lion was changed to claret.

I can't help but wonder if we may look back on the deal one day and say we did well to get £100m. Are his shins knackered? Will he "enjoy" the party boy/celebrity lifestyle a little too much? It may actually turn out that he's already played the best stuff in his career. -
