  1. And then just wait until he has a slightly iffy debut.
  2. Joined in March 2021. 43 tweets. 1,512 followers. I see no reason to doubt.
  3. It's even worse than that as Sky sacked him years ago. They decided the whole of the Midlands (west and east) needs only 1 reporter. Also, every single London PL team has their own dedicated reporter. As do the North West clubs. Scum. Sub-human scum.
  4. That's at least 5 incomings today then, based on your previous record.
  5. I'm getting the Partridge shrug ready for when he inevitably scores on his debut.
  6. Precisely my point. All I've read in this thread for the last few weeks is what if's and hypothetical scenarios. The very nature of transfers mean they are unpredictable. We may sign a world beater and he may not even get into the team.
  7. To the people who are absolutely desperate for us to sign another midfielder, what happens if when Sanson gets his chance he turns out to be amazing? What if Luiz realises his potential this season? What if McGinn has the season of his life? What if Ramsey and Chuk become unstoppable? Etc. What if a new signing looks good on paper but actually fails to settle? Do we really need one as bad as people are making out? I'd like one but I don't think it's a necessity.
  8. This was my point earlier. Most teams that break into Europe for the first time in a while usually struggle the next season. It's because their squads are never big enough for it so they have to try and buy lots of players in one go, which then rarely works because teams need time to gel. We don't want a one off season in Europe. We want to break in and stay in. The best way to do that is slowly. Piece by piece...
  9. Can anyone confirm if we can loan Januzaj or if VillaReport is a lying scumbag or not?
  10. Our squad is in very good shape; probably the best it's been in over a decade. This is only 3 years after being mid-table in the Championship. This is down to how the owners have run the club. Yes, I agree that we need one more high quality player, preferably in centre midfield but I won't cry if we don't get one. We have a good squad with some exceptional young players breaking through. Maybe the targets the recruitment team would ideally like to sign just aren't available right now. Would you rather us spend money willy-nilly and weaken our position regarding FFP for next season, just for the sake of it? Or would you rather wait and get the best deal for the player we actually want? Do you want us to go the Xia route and spend every single penny available, even if it is completely unsustainable? Isn't that what got us into the mess in the first place? We are still establishing ourselves as a Premier League team again. European football next season would be nice but I don't think it is the aim. Another solid season of consolidation would do just fine. We don't want Europe too soon as we would need far greater depth, something which can't be achieved overnight. Look at the last time we tried to buy a whole new team (15/16 and then 19/20 where we literally scraped survival). It makes far, far more sense to do it sustainably and over time. Some of the statements in here are so over the top, it's utterly embarrassing. It's not football manager or FIFA. We can't just childishly snap our fingers and say "sign someone". Yes, I would like another midfielder by Wednesday but I am totally fine if we don't get one.
