  1. Keeping Steer will mean we are well stocked with keepers. I'd like to think we will get one or both of Mings and Tuanzebe back next season. If we get both I think that sorts the centre of defense along with Chester and Hause. If we don't we need another prem level centre back. I don't know much about Guilbert but hopefully, him and Elmo are enough at RB. I'd send Bree out on loan again. Only Taylor at LB is an issue. I'm hoping Suso and DS have something up their sleeves for this position. DM is a massive position, can we get another Gueye from somewhere? I'd take Hayden from Newcastle if he still wants out. The two remaining SM positions I think will be McGinn and Jack with Conor to come in. I expect Lansbury to stay so he may be used too. Another body in here would help but not essential. The front 3 is where we need most work (and money) if Tammy comes back happy days but I don't see it. ElGhazi is a good player but we need someone on the other side and another 2 for competition. Tammy up front with back up of Kodija, Davis and Hogan seems ok. I'd prefer to move Hogan on and use the cash elsewhere. I don't think I would keep any of the out of contract players. Jedi, Hutton, Elphick, Whelan and even Bunn all go and are wished the best of luck. Can't say the same for Richards.
  2. If we keep the loan player we still need: For me we need a new LB, Taylor has been good since March but we need cover. We need defensive MF to break up play, can we find another Gueye? I think we need a top class winger and this is where I would spend most. Then if we keep Tammy happy days, but if not the only way you stay in the Prem is goals. So a striker is essential. Busy summer ahead for DS. And a lot of money will need to be spent.
  3. Dean Smith deserves so much respect for this. We all thought we were done in March but the run that we’ve put together is out of this world! So happy to be back where we belong!
  4. Drink it in boys and girls. This is what it’s all about!
  5. It's not a holiday here in Ireland so I am going to have to find a way to have a meeting around 1.30 and not be seen for the rest of the day. Nerves starting to build already and it's hours before KO. For all of those heading to game enjoy it for all us who can't make it!
  6. I usually wouldn't pay attention to it but it was Alan Nixon who isn't one to lie. DS said in his press conference that there are no injury worries so hopefully there is nothing in this.
  7. There’s talk that Grealish has picked up a knock in training. DS press conference at 2pm, I’m sure he will be asked about it!
  8. I really don't understand the hate for Taylor. He's probably been one of the most consistent performers under DS and was a huge part of the winning run we went on. I also think he was one of the better performers over the last two legs along with Elmo. I agree with your team but I'd have Taylor at LB, Hourihane in CM and Green at LW.
  9. I had a quick look on Paddy Power, we are favourites. 2.3/1 for the Dery win, 1.1/1 for Villa win. 2/1 for a draw.
  10. Interesting to see how the game this evening goes. I would much prefer Derby in the final. We have beaten them home and away this season. Leeds are a different proposition but I wouldn’t fear them either. Mine thing is for sure, we need 11 players to turn up for the final. We won this tie with quite a few poor performances. Most notably Tammy, McGinn. Tuanzebe and Mings haven’t been great either. 90 mins for the premier league. A phenomenal achievement from DS and his team.
  11. We made hard work of it. But it doesn’t matter now.
  12. Pen takers? Abraham, Kodija, Hourihane, Grealish, Jedi!
  13. Abraham has been woeful tonight. Both legs actually.
  14. We can’t risk pens here. Need to get this done in the 30mins.
  15. Agreed. The trickery of Kodija against tiring full backs could be what we need.
  16. Chris Brunt living up to what his name rhymes with.
  17. The standard of refs in this league is laughable. Mings clearly barged off the ball and neither the ref or the lino see it.
  18. I was saying this to my mate in the pub last night too. But under DS I'm pretty confident we can handle whatever is thrown at us. We all have to be aware that West Brom will have periods of dominance in this game. They have nothing to lose and will have to push up at some stage. We need Tammy on the top of his games as we will get chances, its all about taking them.
  19. I lived in the Middle East for years and Ramadan isn't a hard and fast rule. If you have reason to break the fast early or not do it for a day it's perfectly fine. Just so we're clear people observing the fast don't eat or drink in daylight hours. In parts of the world where you have long daylight hours (so in this part of the world when Ramadan falls in summer), people often observe Mecca hours of light and darkness. So I can only assume that Anwar and the staff will make a call on this. But if he is observing the full fast there is no way he should be in the 18, nevermind the starting 11.
  20. It’s funny how things and times change. This time last season we got to the playoff final playing a bit like Baggies did yesterday. We scored from a corner against Boro and then sat back and effectively soaked up pressure for a game and a half. The great difference is that we were the aggressors yesterday. There was only one team that wanted to win that’s game. Only one team that actually wanted to play football. I think a few key decisions went our way. I think the pen should be given but some refs wouldn’t have. I think Tammy could have given away a pen. I think the Gayle second yellow is a little harsh. But when the pen was given should Gibbs be getting a second yellow. I think they will have to come out an play on Tuesday night. I just hope that means a bit more space for Grealish and McGinn to play in. The next goal is critically important. Still confident we will do enough.
