    I never understood why the local journalists go with these negative headlines. Retain and grow your audience with content that is fair but optimistic, get behind the club when we are having a positive season. It is so disappointing, rightly people are unfollowing and complaining. At least spin Bailey's words positively. Gregg Evans was the same (thankfully he was replaced). Sky are now picking this news up. Sky want Spurs and Utd in the top 5 - they will use as much negative noise they can against us to help achieve that. Townley & Bailey have let the club down here.     My feeling is the club can thrive in a new location (I would love us to stay and redevelop where we are but...). Where would that location be? Closer to city centre (north of the City)? A location where we could possibly benefit from HS2.

    I think of Randy Lerner and Ellis Short who put money in but got nothing/little in return but lost a lot of money - I feel like american sport protects the owners investment/money better than over here. It seems less corrupt but also sterile to new ideas. English football is more open to ideas carried by investment but also unforgiving if a person doesn't have the required investment, knowledge and a plan. FFP has probably made buying English clubs a safer venture too.

    Isn't it next season they receive their punishment/outcome. I think they will be fined and get a big (6-12) points deduction or something then it will be dropped.

    I'm not an american but I feel like bad owners can sit on investments in the American sports and get richer but not earn it. Maybe I am wrong with that assessment?

    That is true. It is unique but has some problems too. I think the issues at VP are accessibility and older facilities. I worry about our fanbase sustaining/growing in that area too, especially if the transport issues aren't improved. I think the club needs to have more land and attract partners to help regenerate the area with jobs/education offerings etc -AV campus. Villa can be an anchoring force in Witton, it needs support from government, council and residents to achieve it.

    Do you think the club will produce a couple of kits to honour the 150 years of Aston Villa? To celebrate some of the key milestones in our history or would that be impractical/overkill? Heck was praised for his 76ers "uniforms" so I could see it. Would love us to get a sponsor such as Muller, Cadbury or MG - even possibly Acorns? could a bigger brand sponsor Acorns on the shirt for the 150th year?

    He is going to be judged every game he plays for us that is the true nature of football, it doesn't get any easier for Rogers in terms of criticism and judgement. No hiding places.

    I still can't wrap my head around Ramsey being selected for the u21 at his age and when he was playing regularly in a top 7 Premier League side. Total incompetence. He was ready for the senior England team last year. JR should have been given a much needed rest last summer, and been preparing for Villa's upcoming season. Missed a lot of "real" football for a youth dev tournament - so so crazy and foolish. Hopefully the FA will learn about the consequences of selecting players who are playing first team football and need vital rest in the summer months. Clowns.

    Yh. I think the club would need to have a much bigger space to achieve something that would attract footfall on non-match days. The Witton Station being upgraded could be huge in helping that, but I think the club will need to negotiate and ask for a huge chunk of the surrounding area. It is possible for us to have an AV campus? Villa Live event centre? Aston University offering of some sort too? I think a business case could be made about major regeneration of Witton. it is the only way I can see us staying at VP in the future.
